    SHAVE OF THE DAY

    Prep: LT Vanishing Cream
    Razor: Schick Injector
    Blade: Schick
    Brush: Semogue Boar

    Soap: Soap Commander Endurance
    Balm: SC Endurance
    Aftershave: FD Spice

Had a smooth 2 pass shave this afternoon. This was the first time I have bloomed a soap in quite a while, not sure if it made a difference or not. Got a decent lather nonetheless. Went with the classic Spice scent since it is cold and snowing today, it was perfect for the weather. Finished up with matching balm and some Dollar General Spice aftershave. Hope everyone had a great shave !

Excellent photo treatment. Love the art look. Sounds like you were brave using that Feather based on how aggressive you have said that DOC is! I definitely have my on that one. Maybe a late Christmas present to myself!
    Cheers,

    Decadent December!!

    December 8

    Razor - Fatip Piccolo
    Blade - [IMG] (13)
    Soap - Mitchell's Wool Fat
Brush - Wolf Whiskers Custom Silvertip
    Post - Alum

I decided to just let it all hang out and get decadent tonight. We'll let the overindulgence and luxury of a fine setup risk the moral decay and fall of society. Gotta go for it once in awhile. But....what setup should I use to try for that level of decadence? Well, the Fatip is a new favorite of mine and a Moscow blade is a requirement for decadence in my world. The Fat? Check. Wolf Whiskers Silvertip? Double Check. The only tough choice was the blade and I decided on the Swedish Supersteel. I don't use it much. Some here have it as their favorite Russian. It's not mine but hey, it's better than a non-Russian, right? Besides, it is a good blade.

To say that I may have found the best setup I've had in months is an understatement. The Fat was incredibly productive tonight with enough lather for an aircraft carrier crew. The Silvertip was luxurious and the feel of the Fatip and Swede together was as smooth as I've ever had. It was like the blade disappeared. No hint of it at all, yet, after two passes and a quick touch up on the neck, all I can say is.........

Pure soap 2 O, vintage bristle brush, knife William Hope 24 8/8, After shave Myrsol antesol, essential oils for shaving The shaving Co.
A soap - cream, simple formula, quick discharge, easy foaming, dense and creamy foam, the smell would describe it as acid, did not identify what else, the brush I like very soft is smooth with a good backbone, William Hope if he knew how to make knives , Is "visibly sharp" not suitable for beginners, true beard mowers. A very good after-shave, smooth and supple skin, the after nothing else because I can not live without it alcoholic touch, but it would not even be needed with this soap. Love at first shave. The oil is for grooming the beard. Excelso shaved.

A little rough today. I realized the cap on my Futur was not set properly, making the neck pass irritating. I got a couple weepers, too. Once I fixed the cap, everything was fine. I used B-M Reserve Cool to help put out the fire.

Aimed to do better than yesterday where I missed out on a top quality shave by not concentrating enough. Well it was not only smooth and comfortable with a great lather provided by the MWF, but equally as good as any I have got with other razors. That includes the Claymore which uses a Feather AC blade.
