The BSB2 brush whipped the MdC into a wonderful lather. I love the scent of the soap and appreciate that it last throughout the shave. Two passes and minimal touch ups ended with my usual near BBS. I finished the shave with a splash of Fine Lavender. Everything just worked well together and the shave was wonderful. I hope everyone has a great Friday.

    WTG, touch-up

Simplicity at its best. Fat/Fine Friday with Mitchell's and American Blend. I always look forward to Friday's shaves. The Fat was terrific as usual and I just love the scent of American Blend. Nice, efficient shave with good results.

    Have a great day!

A great shave and a very easy one with no issues. Bottom line? The Dorcos are NOT for me. The Sottozero soap is awesome stuff, but don't let the name fool you because although Sottozero means below zero in Italian this soap is not a face-freezer. In fact, I find it less-mentholated than Proraso Green. The Bergamot Vetiver aftershave from Henri et Victoria has a very good menthol effect, smells great, and has excellent skincare. :happy088: :happy088:

    Parker Variant razor
    US Personna blade
    Omega 10066 boar brush
    Osage Rub/Witch Hazel w/aloe
    Pinaud Clubman A/S

The US Personna didn't work to well in the Parker today. Opened the setting to 4 and still just so-so. Still comfortable and easy just didn't cut well. Oh well, live and learn I guess. So I'm ready on this chilly Friday. Now go enjoy your day folks

My last shave with the ERN wasn't as close as I'd liked. Today's was. :)

Maybe it was the experimenting with the "Guillotine Style" pass discussed on the Newbie Questions thread. I found it easier to execute than expected and very helpful in some areas. In some areas the scything pass worked better. It appears there is some lack of standardization of terminology and I'm going with the shave pass descriptions from the SRP site's library.

Spending a few days in Huatulco, México so I'll be using this same setup every day. I get great shaves from the Dorco razors. Really.

Here we go for Saturday morning:

    Razorock Plissoft 26mm Monster
    Super Speed/Derby unknown day
    Lea Classic S/C :love055: :love055: :love055: :love055: :love055: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily:
    Intesa Glacial A/S Gel :love055: :love055: :love055: :love055: :love055: :smiley freezing: :smiley freezing:
Aqua Velva Ice Blue A/S Splash :love055: :love055::love055: :love055: :love055: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily:

Some really cold weather is coming our way so I'll sort of go easy on the menthol. The Lea Classic cream smells awesome, lathers great, and although it's not as icy as the Menthol variant, it still gives more than enough chill to satisfy me. It's also VERY skin-friendly. The Intesa gel is another very good aftershave product which I should use more often because it's also nicely-scented with a mild cooling effect and very protective against dryness or irritation. I don't think the Aqua Velva needs any explanation! ;) :D
