I used to be able to do something similar. With my current role, my boss keeps bringing up the whole "gotta support the refinery operations" thing.
This morning, I had an epidural injection for back pain. I get one every three months. It's a nuisance, but I get good relief from it. Later, I went out & tutored a kid in Biology. I'm happy to say that her test grades are going up, since we started. She's smart & hard-working, but like many kids, the wording of the questions can confuse her.
I shoveled snow. Then it drifted in again. Then I shoveled it again, three times total, and it is blown in again. Snow I don't mind. Wind I HATE.
Glad it works to keep you up and moving. Back pain blows. I have a few discs that are bulging in my lower back, and a couple that are screwed up in my neck. With an adjustment or two from a chiro. Every year, and keeping my weight down, I get by okay, but when it acts up? OOF!
My daughter's car is broken down again. Granted, it is far from new, '05 Jetta, but it barely has 100k on it, so it isn't like it is a beater. I bought it for her in March, and have put nearly 2k into repairs, and this will be it's second tow truck ride. I am not a happy camper this morning.
Thank you, Sara. It's one of those things where you just get into it too deep to get out. A guy should sell it, but I have fixed darn near everything on it. Or so you keep telling yourself.....
Today has been a good one. After services, we took a close friend out for her birthday. Then she insisted we put her back, she we were done.
K.. I tripped over that one several times before I gave up and waited for someone to pick it up. Good job.
Well, can't remember what I last posted here, forgive any repetition. I have a surgery date for April 14/17. Man it can't come soon enough!! I am looking to get out of my stupid night crew job. Apparently cutting fruit is highly political! :/ I have a lead at a microbrewery that my friends family owns. So I'm hoping for an interview this week. Other than that I did some deep sky photography. It's more rewarding than Aurora or milky way. Here's some pics: Andromeda galaxy Orion Nebula Flame and horsehead nebulas (horsehead is just a pinkish streak under the left star...it's hard to photograph with my camera.) Have a great Sunday!! Hey you two! The images were taken with my Nikon DSLR, with a 300mm lens. My camera is a crop sensor, making the lens 450mm. I used a friends tracking mount which allowed my camera to flawlessly follow the movement of the stars, so I could get nice long exposures. I then used Photoshop to stack the images (taken in RAW) and am using pixinsight to develop...rather draw the targets out. I have one pretty much ready and am excited to post it soon!
