Ever notice how vegetarians always are trying to make vegetables look like meat. If soy paste is your thing - great - but don't try to make it look like a hamburger.
I just got home after going to the bike shop and picking up my bike that's been in the shop for the past two months. It's 32 degrees (F) right now and it was 34 degrees when I picked up the bike for the half hour ride. Actually I was quite comfortable since I was dressed properly but it did feel manly. I suppose everyone driving a closed vehicle thought I was nuts but the next few days are calling for freezing rain/rain/and possibly some snow so I decided it was now or never.
I just finished making a gallon of chili* ... yeah, I may have miscalculated someone else's recipe just a tad. Anyhow, I subbed pureed Thai chili pepers (the charmingly named "rat poop chilis" -- prik kee noo) + chili powder instead of a habanero +chili powder. It's just hot enough for normal people with a little after-burn in the back of the throat. I just had some for lunch and it looks like a fair portion will be going to the freezer. *ground beef + 3 types of beans
Took the girls to lunch. Just tore down and fixed a falling apart 1948-50 S.S...it had the drop, a crooked riser and was full of mineral deposits. Now it's working, lubed and polished and will be tomorrow's shave. Feel good about it, as I was ready to trash it. But lunch was best part of day.
bought a new coffee pot(Mr. Coffee, 2015, made in China), for ,my BLACK coffee. Also bought a brand of men's shampoo I really like.
I took my father to the gun range, and we sited in his AT15. He hasn't shot one before, and I had tho explain everything to him.
I should have posted in this thread on Saturday, but I was a little busy. Nothing more manly than walking your beautiful daughter down the aisle. I'm still walking on clouds
