Awesome! Know you understand what people mean by 100 shaves! Straight shaving is scary and unnatural. It takes much repetition to get to automatic dfs, and your efforts have paid out!

I ask myself that all the time as well.

    No shave for me!

Mrs. Samurai is on a one night trip with some friends, so I am being lazy. About to consume Papa Murphy Gluten Free pepperoni pizza, coke zero, ice cream, and a couple of bowls of new pipe tobacco from a new pipe. It's super cold and miserable and a great night for playing bass and watching NBA League Pass on satellite. A quiet end to another good day on the prairie. Other than that...all is quiet in Colorado.

    Have a great evening!

Very nice. The Commodore is a very underrated brush IMO. I really like mine, especially the handle.

Keith, great setup, epic shave, and an uber cool watch! I'm a huge fan of Seiko auto sports watches, and yours is a beauty. I'm glad you like the Route 66 Cavendish scent. Kathleen and her soaps are awesome! Merry Christmas!

    Schick type J1, Chick blade
    Alum & Clubman S.R. AS SOTD 12142016.gif

Used my second oldest brush purchased from local Cloverleaf Barber Supply to lather up my newest soap. Loving the lanolin in Kathleen's @Salty Belle 's product. So many facets to shaving, I'd have gotten to Route66 if Charlie @wristwatchb hadn't put it in my den. I back stepped to my first injector, courtesy of Chris @Bama Samurai , and took three smooth passes to a DFS+ with no blood. Cool alum, and a manly mature AS for the win!
While I was out moving around on this cool sunny day, I visited a flea market that has awarded some nice bits of gear. The owner has a new location north of town, and three Gillettes behind the counter just for me to view.
    Delayed Gratification anticipation ;)
    Good Shaves Y'all!

:drool::drool::drool::drool: Bacon has always been one of my favorite foods. As well as fatback, jowels, you know, anything from the pig really. I have learned to be content with turkey bacon. Notice content. Not happy.

    Decadent December!!

    December 14

    Razor - 1946-47 Gillette Aristocrat
    Blade - [IMG] (2)
    Soap - Mitchell's Wool Fat
Brush - Wolf Whiskers Custom Silvertip
    Post - Alum

Yesterday's shave was so decadent I figured I'd just repeat it. Just change the soap to the Fat and go for it. The PLux is going to provide at least three if not more days of quality shaves and the Aristocrat is always out of this world. The Wolf whipped the Fat into a great lather as always and two passes later I'm near BBS again and loving the feel the lanolin leaves. Alum was quiet again as expected. Tomorrow I'm going to do it again with the Route 66 Sweeney Todd to compare how it leaves my face to the Fat. I read a review of Mitchell's today that claimed there is actually very little lanolin in it, based on its position in the ingredient list. Not sure that's an accurate way to measure but I figured a comparison to Sweeney could give me an idea of which may have more. Just something to try and discover.

Today was my Monday and a good one. I'm settled in where it's warm. No snow in the Lou but temps in the teens and going only to the 20's tomorrow. You'd think it was winter or something!
