SOTD: 'Got my kicks' with Route 66 this morning. Vintage Eiko 'Glory' 13/16;" heavy-duty Route 66 shaving mug with custom boar brush; 'Bay Lime Twist' lanolin soap & matching balm. Easy-lathering non-tallow soap with terrific glide. Top-shelf shave.

    Razor: Gillette Tech.
    Blade: Personna Comfort Coated (6)
    Brush: VDH Badger
    Lather: Proraso Green
    Pre Shave: Hibco Nag Champa
H/S: Aqua Musk/ Hibco Nag Champa Butter Balm
    Newspaper Date: Dec. 5, 1943

An easy two pass shave, WTG/ATG with a careful clean up effort, resulting in a shave so close to Dolphin smooth, I`m not sure, anyway it is a terrific , smooth shave and I`m well pleased with the razor and blade, fortunately no pilot errors. Wishing as good for all. Merry Christmas and God Bless.

There's so much good music it's a shame not to try and listen to it all. I very rarely watch TV, it's full of bad news, music is good for the soul.

The Schick E2 was brutal this morning. This is the 2nd time I have tried to use this razor and both times (first time new blade) sweeps away the shave soap but doesn't cut a whisker or very few. Moves across the face and neck like it is skipping across and very noisy but the whiskers win out. Ended up using the Shick E3 that I used yesterday to repeat the WTG pass and finished up with XTG. Will take some time this weekend and check out the head to see what maybe the issue here as I know a lot of people really like the E2 series.

:thanks:Guys..These are Not Original..They are Custom Scales Treated for SRs..I Forget the Type of Wood they are..They are Coated with Some Sort of Thin Resin I think to Waterproof them..:happy088:

I'm still fairly green when it comes to straights (about 27 shaves in). Still slow but I'm getting faster and needing fewer touch ups with the Schick E2.

    Prep: Warm Shower-Stirling Bath Soap-Gentleman
    Soap: Route 66 Sweeney Todd
    Razor: Gillette Fat Boy
Blade: Gillette 7 O’Clock Blue Super Platinum (6)
    Brush: Thater Silvertip-26mmx55mm
Aftershave: Bvlgari Man in Black EdT

WTG-XTG-ATG (adjusted angles for my beard)

Route 66 Sweeney Todd today. 20 seconds to load the Thater Silvertip. Easy, thick, slick, lather. Gillette 7 O’Clock Blue SP still in the Fat Boy. Excellent smooth, close shave. I finished with Bvlgari Man in Black EdT.

First go with Route 66 Sweeney Todd. Great performance as expected from a R66 soap and very nice scent. Thanks Santa!!

The big Napoleon is one of my favorites. Far easier to handle than I expect and slices through the toughest stubble better than most blades. :)

Took out the Schick G, which I haven't used in a while, and loaded it with a fresh blade. Besides giving me great shaves, Schicks are great at changing the shape of my goatee, which I needed it to do as I'm making it wider. I was rewarded with a great three pass BBS shave, silky smooth, and when the time is right, I will be putting on some of the Everest Cologne.
