  1. Decadent December!!

    December 19

Razor - 1959 Gillette Super Speed
    Blade - sharp-star.jpg (1)
Soap - Route 66 Bourbon Jungle
    Brush - Semogue 620
    Post - Alum

Well, I got the Route 66 samples and asked for votes and each one got one vote. So, I went with Bourbon Jungle since it was the first one chosen. Also, @Douglas Carey was the one who chose it and Marines scare me. So there's that. I'll use the other two in the next few days to get a feel for them. Or I suppose I should say, a smell for them. I picked the three I thought I'd like the best just to see.

To insure Decadence I stayed with a Super Speed, but this one is only 57 years old instead of 67 years old. It's my birth year SS and one fine shaving thingy. Add to that the amazing Sharp Star from Mostochlegmash and I'm so decadent my decadence is decadent.

The lather from the sample puck was way too easy. And I spent some time taking in the scent. Definitely woody but also that citrus tone is in there. A bit darker scent than the Sweeney Todd but I like it. Two passes and a touch up for a very nice DFS and I'm all set for another day off and Yule celebration tomorrow. I had SWMBO check out the shave and she pronounced it smooth, sexy, and loved the Bourbon Jungle scent. Since she scares me more than Marines that's probably two votes I need to account for.

  2. Toughest guy I ever met is a Marine who works for me occasionally. His appendix burst one day, and he took it out himself during coffee break, then ate it for lunch.
  3. The scariest part - He didn't ask for Fava beans or Chianti!
  4. Just cold beer.

  5. Roid rage?
  6. You're the "responsible adult supervision." We appreciate that.
  7. At least you got nicked by the finest! Kudos.
  8. You need not wait. You can go off the rails anytime. I'll hold your beer.
  9. "Never eat the food of a skinny chef."

  10. If you can feel and hear the hair breaking against the bevel...that is a good sign with regard to angle. Pretty good for day two!

  12. Decadent December 2016 - Day 19

Automatic! The scent of Lea grew on me today. It's powdery, but mild and fresh. Good skinfeel. Two passes for the win. Osage since it's Monday. Think I may have cracked the fifth tarsal in my left foot. Good news, walking just fine. Bad news, foot is crazy blue. Strange lack of real pain though. Well anyhow, it was a good day if I count everything else. Other than that...all is quiet in Colorado.

    Have a terrific Tuesday!
  13. How are you with female Marines?

  14. I've been divorced enough times women don't really scare me. I think it's an auto-tuneout thing when they start complaining. After all....I can't be the reason for any of those divorces.......right?
  15. It's not a "hard of hearing" thing. My mother diagnosed me early. I'm hard of listening. Most guys are single item focused. Do one thing at a time, and do it well. Multitasking is for women.

  16. A gorgeous brush and photo Doug. The gold in the onyx makes the Executive razor pop even more.
  17. Great photo Mark. You are going to have to share the secret on the background. :)
  18. Now that's the spirit :happy088:
  19. Thanks very much for your kind words amigo.

  20. Compared to some of your experiences lately my shave today was just plain boring:

    - PannaCrema "Namaste"
    - Thäter 26mm 2-band silvertip
    - Koraat Basic II
    - The Body Shop "White Musk" ASB

This was a very good 2-pass-shave, plain and simple. Very nice soap, fantastic razor, smooth and close, very close to BBS (missed a small spot on my jawline). So what can I tell you to make it sound more interesting? Well ... I almost got some soap in my eye, but that's about it. ;) No blood, no tears.
