Somewhat uncommon, the (1919-24?) US version of the British 1909 patent shovelhead which would morph into the "1924" . Very different from my other US Patent Applied For Shovelhead, the base on this one reflects the 1922 patent application rather than the 1924. The Londoner Demesquita had received US Patents for the front hinge in 1915 having made application in 1909 (same as British patent). .
