Picking up my youngest at Gettysburg College. Went up to the battlefield by Cushing's Battery.

I drove down to PA for A tournament this morning. Weather and inadequate snow removal added an hour to the trip. So I (along with most of the other archers) was pretty tired. OMG, my shooting was dreadful. On th bright side, it wasn't the worst shoot I've ever done but I missed 5 shots. I had to laught at myself, because there was just no point in getitng upset. I had fun, in spite of my shooting. Knowing I'd be tired, I am staying the night here.
And yes, I brought bears.

Got home from last night's wedding. My daughter sang. I bawled. Holy crap she can sing.

 

It is a cold day, but not overly windy or damp, so I didn't mind it, when I had to walk around to run some errands. It occurred to me that I was fine, because my coat & gloves were warm. Then it occurred to me to be thankful for that fact, because not everyone has warm coats & gloves for the winter.
I try to stay off my soapbox, but I'm going to get on it for a minute. If you are in a position to donate a warm coat, or some money to a coat drive, please do so. Thanks.

 

Sunny, but with a little bite in the air. Thirty degrees but with the wind it feels like twenty five. At least there is no precip.

 

After several hours of transferring files and other related computer set up issues - my brand new Apple desk top is up and running - using it to type this entry. My Xmas present to myself since I've been so good this year.

My day other than the first post is excellent. My youngest son is home from college, and turned 21 today. My oldest will be coming in to EWR tonight. First time he's been home for Christmas in two years. God is indeed good.

 

So... you deleted your day? Was it that bad? Sorry to hear that!

 

Heard from Mom yesterday evening. The Chanukah gift we sent her arrived a day earlier than I expected and she was thrilled with it.
Fur Elise is her favorite melody and she had a music box that played it, but it had broken. So, we got her another one that played the same tune. It was just something she had mentioned in a conversation and I don't think she expected us to act on that.
I love it when a surprise works. I also love it when my Mom is happy.

 

After yesterday's terrorist attack on the Christmas fair here in Berlin the city appears strangely quiet today. Everything seems to move a bit slower, the City is in a sad, even gloomy mood.

But then again we won't let fear or anger overwhelm us now.
