    Blade: Kai Stainless Steel (6)
Brush: Elite Razor Gold Laced Black Onyx Tuxedo
    Soap: Route 66 Lumberjack
    Aftershave: Route 66 Lumberjack Balm

Missed yesterday's shave, but on the upside I got some good rest. Excellent 3 pass shave this morning. The Route 66 soap and aftershave balm are excellent products.

    : Chinese Schick
    Straight Razor: Genco
    Rescue Razor: Schick I1 injector
    Brush: Artisan badger
    Lather: Stirling Ozark Mountain
Post: Witch hazel splash, Stirling Ozark Mountain aftershave, Nivea sensitive balm
WTG, WTG (cheeks, for practice), touch-up

Third straight shave. Pretty darn good results. I did most of my entire upper face two times, both WTG. I have a small, pesky mole on my chin and I nicked the edge of it with the tip for a little blood. But otherwise no cuts or nicks or scrapes. Getting better!

I'm still terrified to death in trying to shave my neck. Baby steps!

The I1 injector cleaned it all up to end in a really nice shave. It's still awkward with the straight, but it has certainly improved since starting a few days ago I want to get where I can shave my neck and then I'll be able to do my whole face. I'd like to shave the whole face in one pass and then clean up with the injector, then progress from there. We'll see I guess.

As John Wooden always said - "You must have patience."

    Have a great day!

Perry, you are making great progress on using the SR. Bravo.

You are making fantastic progress. A few thoughts:
    • Razor: Sticking with one razor will help with consistency, however the Catt was honed by a different person, and has been used less than the Genco since being honed. You might do one shave with it, just to see if you like the edge. (Think of this as trying different blades in a DE. Figure out which works best for you, then do your focus with that one.)
    • Razor parallel to the ground: If you have the razor at a bit of an angle on your face, and go up and down with it, you are slicing the hair, instead of blunt force cutting. Should be a smoother shave.
    • Neck: I don’t do WTG/ATG passes on my neck. I do N/S, S/N, and then a L/R and a R/L. A year and a half into it, and I can’t contort my arms to hold the blade at the right angle to do an ATG pass on my neck. I have only gotten BBS on my neck twice, but I get high grade DFS out of this method, without hurting myself.
    • Wet lather: Build what would be a good lather on your face for a DE shave. Dip the tip of your brush in water, and go back to your face. Keep adding water until it starts to drip, but doesn’t all come off. Do one section at a time if needed.
    • Moles/ Skin tags: Straight razors are amazing at removing these, or at least planing them down to skin level.
