If you are ever in West San Jose, you might want to check out Williams Cutlery & Gifts. They are small, but have more wetshaving gear than just about any other brick and mortar store in the area. The last time I checked, they still sold straight razors, strops, brushes, a few soaps, as well as safety razors. I have also seen people bring in Rolls Razors to be honed, and I'm pretty sure they also hone straight razors. Definitely worth checking out even if you aren't looking to buy anything. You're from the Bay Area, too? Holy Rollah!
Welcome from the Sacramento area. This is a great community. The Darkside is strong here You will fit right in with the straights.

Thanks, I don't make it down to San Jose often with the traffic on 880 these days, but if I am in the area I will definitely check them out. Good, Good, let your technique flow through you. Just completed my seventh shave this morning. BBS and surprisingly little little burn. Went fairly quick too. I've been experimenting with various pre-shaves to assist as well. I like the jimps on one the two razors as it makes a secure grip a little easier.
I've had little time to spend in the forums so far. I did have a chance to look at the 30 day rule/focus thread. I may jump in on the next one. Thanks for the great welcome everyone!
