Very nice shave, the Tiki soap lathers up quicker than most soaps, love the woodsy scent of this one. The GSB Blade has been working out great in the FB razor. Finished off with Fortitude balm.


THURSDAY SHAVE


Prep: MLSW Sandalwood pre shave butter
Razor: Gillette ball end tech
Blade: GSB
Brush: RazoRock plissoft
Soap: Lisa's Natural Sandalwood Pachouli
Post: Osage Rub/ Local Gent Anubis Balm


Got a super slick lather from the Lisa's Natural soap and the scent is a nice earthy pachouli with a Sandalwood base. First time with this artisan and wasn't sure what to expect. The shave went well and the lather had all the qualities you would expect from a soap with it's ingredients. I think the GSB Blade was a bit smoother in the Fatboy than in the Tech but still managed to get a close irritation free shave. Finished of with Anubis Balm, Local Gent's balms are top notch and pretty thick so a little goes a long way, plus they moisturize the skin well. Hope everyone enjoyed their shave!

The Arko Shaving Stick face-lathered well with my Jayaruh #100 Two-band Badger brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Gillette Goodwill LC with a Personna Super blade (30) gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse and alum block, I finished off with T.N. Dickinson's WH and then Mennen Skin Bracer After Shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

 

I don't "categorize" scents, myself. If it smells good, I use it.

A fine 3 passes with a slight clean up for a very near BBS. I really like this synthetic brush, of course it doesn't hurt that it has an amazing handle.
Fine Platinum is one of my top 5 aftershaves. Been snowing all day, so I'll do the driveway in the morning. Tough day at home today. My wife was saying I don't pay attention to her, or something like that.

Thanks Doug. I made this one without a lathe. It is walnut with birch inlays. The knot is a Virginia Sheng two-band badger. It is a fine brush. One of my keepers.
