I really like it. A shave report here.

 

Bless you brother reading this now, I've already got the Rockwell 6s ages ago and looking forward to get my 6C in March 2017.

 

It really impressed me.
I had pictured it to feel much less 'substantial' than the 6S but that was absolutely not the case. The finish is near flawless as well. Shave-wise it's very, very similar to the 6S.
I'm getting the gunmetal one in March as part of the super-backer package I signed up for.

 

Thank you!.....yeah, that unique little razor is one of my favorite gadgets.....love it!

 

This morning's shave was an absolute delight from the MITA soap. That lather, tropical scent, and cold menthol sensation as well as the soothing sensation are all wonderful. The Lucky Tiger and the Rubby Dubby Doo are unbeatable for extra skincare and iciness.

I'm kicking up the menthol freeze for Friday morning!

The Glacial MITA soap is pretty well the same type as the regular version in terms of awesome lather, scent, and skincare but it has about triple the amount of menthol so you can just imagine what kind of a face-freezer it is. The Lemon Chill witch hazel can freeze a polar bear and so can the Alcolado Glacial splash. This setup is only for a hard-core Menthol Monkey like myself and a few other guys I know - my dear friend Ray, for example!

2 pass BBS. It's nice to try new things but sometimes it's nice to retry old things to see if you were wrong, and I was. Dad gave me several more razors so I decided to try the Old Type that I had no luck with years ago. All I can say is, I'm impressed. No aggressive harshness at all, though an especially light touch seems required. Efficient. Admittedly the excellent blade had a lot to do with it but still, good razor. Never thought I'd say it but it's equal to or better than the venerable NEW and will likely be in rotation.

*Royal Copenhagen a/s, also from Dad. Rethinking this refreshingly pleasant floral, too.

Final three days of 2016 and the final three levels of the Consul. Let me tell you....every click on this thing now creates a pucker factor. Just looking at the gap is getting a bit worrisome. At 7, this thing is every bit of a Gillette adjustable at 9 and growing. With two more levels to go this is going to be interesting. I will say, though, that the one surprise so far is that the shaves have remained smooth even through today. No drag, although with this much gap and exposure I can't imagine creating any. The only problem was a slight reopening of the cut from a few days back. No biggie. Just a slight hint of blood and it was done. What is more concerning is the level of irritation with the alum. As hot as last night but really no hotter which creates another pucker factor.....what if the irritation grows exponentially in the next two settings? This could be interesting!

Two days until New Year's Eve! The boys are getting ready!

First shave with L&L grooming. Im a fan. It is right up there with the great performers, and the scent is incredible!

Wonderful shave with the PAL Adjustable injector razor this morning. Excellent lather from the Van Yulay Jared shave soap. This razor is substantial, smooth, and efficient. I'm having trouble putting this shave soap away it's just dreamy. Three passes for a dolphin smooth refreshing finish. Have a great day friends.

Another great shave this morning, The Brothers Bristles made short work lathering the MdC. Two passes and touch ups ended in a near perfect BBS only thwarted by that one spot on my lower right neck. I finished the shave with a splash of Fine Lavender. I hope everyone has a fantastic Friday,

 

Looks like getting ready to go fishing in Canada.

Nestle drinking water used to some in brown cardboard cases. You could slit a box open very carefully, fill the bottles with clear liquor, then glue the box shut. Mix it in with four or five other cases. Done. You are now an international smuggler.
