My last shave of 2016 was terrific except for one thing: Instead of using the Brutalt Bra soap as I had planned, I used the Speick cream because I have a tube sitting around here for a long time. I finished off with my Booster Mosswood aftershave which was on my agenda today!

 

It indeed was. I'm a shower shaver, but I still haven't figured out how to take a sip between passes (I like my scotch neat). I just drink some prior to the shower and leave the glass on the lavatory, then I finish it while I clean up. I typically only do this in the Winter months.

Defiant 2016
I felt defiant on this last day of the year. The scent is a peppery Mandarin and sandalwood. The lather was good and slick, but my face is not used to shaving every day since I've been lazy over the break.
Happy New Year - may 2017 be more peaceful.

Another fine shave delivered, using the flex head and the twin blade(s). The blades are always in contact with my skin at the proper angle as long as I don`t shake too much. Two smooth , clean passes, WTG/ATG, the 2nd pass was pretty wet, which helped immensely with the clean up, which was as much an after thought as an actual clean up. A happy camper here, the last day of the year. For Auld Lang Syne, I would like to toast TSD for a very enjoyable year, and to all the members, my gratitude for your friendship and generosity. May the wind always be at your backs and God Speed to each and every one of you.

I'm definitely not a 'Cream' man, as Tallow soaps are my thing... but I've gotta admit that the Fields & Streams (cream) was faultless in its performance. Sadly, I'm beginning to find the Hone, a little too mild for my whiskers. BBS is achievable, but it takes so much effort... Happy New Year to you all..

Today's shave was nice. Last of this year. Saturday (my wife likes lavender, so). The mix made some rich slick lather, my jayaruh brush always does nicely. Three passes with the bismarck left me smooth and mostly comfy. I wanted my last shave of this year to be bbs, i may have been a bit aggressive causing a weeper (right neck). I finished with lavender a/s.

Nice shave with the new-to-me Schick adjustable injector. It was so smooth. I looked back to posts from when I used one on pass-around and saw that setting 5 was my preferred spot. So I went with that today with no problems. I'll experiment up to 6 one day.

I went with Alabama made software today in honor of today's game with Alabama versus Washington. Roll Tide!! Soap Commander is terrific stuff and County Club's aftershave smells great. Smooth and comfortable shave in the end.

Had a decent shave this morning. This was the perfect soap to use for a Saturday morning shave. Whipped up a nice lather with no problem, and love the Fruit Loop type scent. This is their older formula that is a softer Cosistancy which is not bad at all, but I have found their new harder formula a notch up performance wise. Shave was not as close as it was yesterday but still ended up with a DFS anyways. Finished up with Admiralty Balm which is soothing and refreshing. Will slap on some American Blend in a few hours so i will be smelling good at the new years party. Happy new year!

 

Having a few family and friend over tonight so this afternoon's shave was my last of 2016.......
