Okay, folks. Looking to try something new. If you could recommend only one new soap brand, who would top your list? Thinking specifically soap brands that are new within the last 12-18 months. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Stubble Trubble. I was gifted a tub by my Secret Santa over Christmas, and it hangs in there with any soap I have tried, bar none. Worth a look, maybe especially because not many people have heard of it.
Favorite soap so far is Haslinger. It gives a great shave, fairly easy to lather, and excellent post shave feel. I don't buy expensive soaps, so my recommendations are somewhat limited. Edit: By the way, it would be helpful if you could list what you have already tried. Otherwise you may get a lot of suggestions that are already in your collection. Sent via mobile - Chris
My recommendation is pretty simple but extremely effective. Arko. Its not the best smelling soap out there (i happen to love the smell) but ive never heard a bad review of it performance wise.
Search over. I really enjoy the Bourbon Jungle, but I'll bet if you talk to @Salty Belle about the scents you enjoy most, she can probably point you to which of her scents would fit your palette best.
Phoenix and Beau (UK) is at the top of my list. Then there's Tallow+Steel (CA). Both available from Maggards. And Bufflehead is coming with a new one in a few days: "North York is a Gourmand featuring Blood Orange, Roasted Coffee, Roasted Barley, and Vanilla. It's a warmer, darker accord well suited for cold weather."
Here are the rankings by year. They aren't all brand new artisans, but all are high quality Top artisans 2016: barrister and Mann, Mickey Lee soap works, L & L grooming, chattilon lux, tallow + steel, k shave worx. 2015: saponificio varesino, cold river soap works, barrister and Mann, Dr. Jon's, Mickey Lee soap works, Martin de candre
Much too many great soaps to only choose one. These two are my favourites: Mystic Water & Jabonman/Eufros.
I would have to go with Stirling and Captain's Choice. Great scents - great lather (even with hard water) - good value in the $10 to $15 range.
