Thank you Andrew. I love this brush for times I want to be pampered since it feels so soft and luxurious.
Razor: Gillette Black Tip X 3 1952 Blade: Wilkinson Sword (4) Brush: EverReady 100 T, Mid to late 1950's Soap: Route 66 Perfect Storm Aftershave: Lucky Tiger Close comfortable 3 passes with a touch up for a DFS. Restored the Ever Ready 100 T by replacing the knot, adding weight to the handle, and cleaning it up a little. Still need more work on the handle.
Thanks very much Clint. I removed the knot from an Elite Razor brush that was set to high and was a little floppy, and set it deeper in the 100T after make the hole wider and adding weight o the handle. It seems to be working well for a first time use.

SOTD January 12, 2017 Blade: Chinese Schick Razor: Schick J1 injector Brush: Omega 10049 boar Lather: Route 66 Rum Runner Post: Witch hazel splash, Speick, Nivea sensitive balm WTG, touch-up Nice shave this morning. I had a little redness immediately after the shave, which is unusual, but it has subsided. The soap is excellent stuff. This is the same setup as I used yesterday. I love this big Omega boar but I'm thinking it's not the best brush for this soap, or either the tub is not conducive to good loading for that brush. The synthetic and badger that I've used have been much better brushes than the two boars I've used. That seems a little odd, but all brushes are different, and I wanted to try out all that I have to see what works best with Route 66. So far it has been my badger followed by the synthetic. Nice shave overall. I'm thinking of going back to Twisted Tweed for tomorrow and then either starting Barbershop Hop as a sample or going with a few Perfect Storm shaves from a new tub I have. I guess time will tell! Have a great day!

I've been following this thread with interest because I am interested in purchasing shave soap down the line. I was a little bummed that I couldn't contribute to the great pictures and commentary. Last night there wasn't much on TV so I dipped into my DVD collection and decided to watch "Rio Grande". John Wayne and Maureen O'Hara. I found my contribution. @Salty Belle, this is for you:
