January 18, 2017 Timeless OC .95 Gap Feather (3) Zenith B02 Boar Route 66 Rum Runner I continue to enjoy my month with the Timeless OC. Thus far I have found it to be a very smooth and efficient shaver. This month with Route 66 soaps has further confirmed just how well the soaps work for me. Across all the scents, Route 66 is easily to lather, slick and provides fantastic post shave feel.
Thank you Doug. I am enjoying Zenith/Rum Runner pairing this week. Happy Wednesday. The work week is half over.
SOTD January 18, 2017 Blade: Chinese Schick Razor: PAL Adjustable Brush: Artisan badger Lather: Route 66 Barbershop Hop Post: Witch hazel splash enhanced with Stirling Executive Man, Nivea sensitive balm WTG, touch-up Effortless lather this morning from a great badger brush and Barbershop Hop. This brush works the best with Route 66 out of all my brushes that I've tried. Easy face lathering with terrific glide, protection, etc. Excellent soap. Fairly easy shave with good results. The PAL Adjustable is still taking some time to get used to. I enjoyed the scent of Stirling Executive Man as part of post-shave treatment. Thanks for all the great shaves this month for all who have posted in here. Have a great day!
For all who have posted here or have used Route 66 - what is your favorite scent? We know that the soap base is terrific but I'm curious as to your top scent or top two. I haven't tried or smelled them all yet, but Cavendish has been my favorite scent so far. Perfect Storm is a close second. You guys?
A Perfect Gent was my fav, but Sweeney Todd is starting to make me rethink. Frozen Margarita is right up there as well. I've got two more on radar, but ive got to use(or gift) some current inventory.
Well, perhaps it is premature for me to comment, but I just purchased my first-Cavendish. It's nice. For the winter, I need that "tobacco" scent.
That is a tough one for me, but I'll try. 1/ Bourbon Jungle 2/ Frozen Margarita I would list these as my two favorites, however, there are many others that are so close it is difficult to leave them out. Cavendish Ghost Town Sweeny Todd Black Pearl A Perfect Gent Bay Lime Twist Cranberry Citrus High Mountain Mint Lavender Woods Lumberjack Perfect Storm Rum Runner and who could forget Twister Tweed.
I think my issue with 66 is that there's a lot of soap in there....who knows when I'll finish it and be ready for another(and I will try a different one later on).
