Real Red Point 5/8 full hollow round end

    Woody's a/s balm
Today's shave was nice. Bombed Mike's whipped up nice, not as explosive (it's a harder soap), but with a bit of work. Three passes with the RRP, made me smooth and comfy. Finished with a refreshing orange alchy wash, and a soothing rub of woody's nice shave.
Hope y'all did as well, or better. 20170122_123157_resized.jpg

It was an ad in the newspaper you showed us with your last shave.

Krona-love reality check shave with a 51 Superspeed. OK, with a Feather it was better than I remembered in terms of efficiency, I did get a BBS headshave without excessive buffing which surprised me. But in terms of handling and feel I do prefer the Krona with the same blade. [IMG]

    SHAVE OF THE DAY
    20170122_130802.jpg

    Prep: Occams crushed lime
    Razor: Gillette Redtip
    Blade: Rockwell (4th shave)
    Brush: RazoRock BC Plissoft
Soap: First Canadian Maximo Gomez Cuba
    Post: Givenchy Gentlemen balm

2 pass shave this morning. Got a great lather from the new formula FC soap. Fresh citrusy scent paired well with the Occams and the balm. The Rockwell blades are not my favorite but has been working out ok. Finished off with Givenchy Gentlemen balm. Hope everyone has a great shave!

Oh! Sorry for the misunderstanding. My attention was on the hat(hats are a small hobby of mine). No, I`ve lived in this area since `66, and that store is no longer in existence, Jackson`s Men`s Store replaced them, and now they`re gone and The Men`s Warehouse is there. That should bring us up to date. Thank you so much for your interest, Good luck with your quest for trivia, with kind respect, Bill

Nice looking bowls. Looks like they have a glazed interior looking at the pic which is nice. My 5" Suribachi has a rough interior finish so I don't use my better badgers with it. May have to add another Suribachi to my den

    Hi Friends,

here my Sunday (all American) Shave:

Razor: Schick Eversharp Hydro Magic // Blade: Personna // Soap: Little Tim´s Smokers Lounge // Brush: PAV Brushworks Chief // Aftershave: Pinaud Clubman Special Reserve

Great shave. The razor is a loan from a member in our German forum. I didn´t shaved with an Injector Razor for a looooooong time, so the shave felt a bit "scratchy". This seemed to be a problem with my technique. But all in all i liked it. Gentle and thoroughly. I have to say, that this soap is one of the best US-Artisan soaps i´ve used so far. A very nice scent and the lather is top notch. If you do not know the soap, go and get it. It´s worth the buy. At the end, i finished up with one of my most loved Aftershaves. I love everything...the scent, the face feel, the skin care...awesome!!! Hopefully this Aftershave will be there forever and never will be discontinued.

This is it for now. Have a great time, enjoy your shaves and take care.

    Greetings
    Thorsten

Thanks. Just having fun. The new scuttle is beautiful, but honestly it think the Crown King was better functionally keeping the lather warm. This one is bigger and better to lather in. I am still experimenting. This morning I put real hot water in it from the coffee maker and it was a bit better, but still not as warm as my old one.
