  2. The Accountant. The last thing I am is a fan of Ben Affleck but playing the part of the accountant was a great match for him. Very good movie with a twist.

  3. "Manchester by the Sea" starring Casey Affleck

Saw it last night in an art house movie theater. Affleck portrays a man
who is coming to terms with the tragic loses in his life and facing up to responsibilities.

A serious film that has some touching and hard to watch scenes.

Definitely not one of your typical Hollywood formulated movies.

By the way, Casey does a wonderful job portraying a man who has difficulties dealing
with his pain, angry and interacting with people.
  4. Invictus. Solid 10/10.

  5. Captain Fantastic, 2016 American comedy-drama film starring Viggo Mortensen.
Story centers on a family who are forced by circumstances to reintegrate into society after living in isolation for a decade.

I would of never picked up this DVD however someone at work who knows that I dislike formulated Hollywood suggested it.
    Glad I did.
  6. Death race 2050. If you liked the original, you will really enjoy it.
  7. Hacksaw Ridge. By far THE BEST war movie I've ever watched. 10/10 without question.

  8. Hidden figures. It was my wife's choice. It was very well written and acted out, but not my cup of tea.
  9. Better than full metal jacket and. Saving Private Ryan and Apocalypse now
  10. Arrival. I gave it a 9/10, even though I'm pretty sure I won't watch it again. Entertaining...

  11. Dark shadows. It's from 2012, so not brand new by any means, but I did enjoy it. Lots of comedy in there as well.

  12. OK, I was off today, so I watched another movie:

    Byzantium

Wow! This is just a crazy cool movie. Seriously...go watch it. It's darn good. My wife said she wanted a vampire movie, so I looked up the "best ever," and this movie popped up on EVERY list. Well, they were right.
  13. Let the Right One In is a very good vampire movie. Make sure you watch the original Swedish version though.

  17. Today I watched:
Fire Sale (1977). Fairly funny Alan Arkin film though Rob Reiner was pretty annoying.
The Hidden (1987). I watched this movie dozens of times on HBO during the late 80s and early 90s. I probably hadn't seen it in 20 years. It still holds up well. Good action flick.

  18. We just watched "Sully". I have to give it a mixed review. They did a great job rendering the water landing & rescue. But they took a lot of liberties with the other parts of the story. (I read his book before seeing the movie.)

  19. I've heard that also. But, that's Hollywood for ya.
