25 January 2017 Hump Day Focus shave. This morning I deployed Stone Cottage Soapworks Bay Lime Shaving Cream. Makes a really generous thick lather with nice slickness. But I really only get the bay and not much lime. A minor point, but worth mentioning. The Voskhod blade is still humming right along, mowing down stubble like a champ. They're really looking like the winner, but I want to give GSB's a fair shot. But if the Voskies prevail, it's all good 'cause I ordered another 100ct to go along with the one I previously ordered. Alum was a little barky, as I over concentrated on the jawline this morning. Icy cold towel sprinkled with VIBR sealed the deal and the day was underway. You Gents put out some great pics and I only sometimes do that on Sunday, so today I went to the photo album to show off my NEW. Youse have a good day!(check the YO! thread)

January 25, 2017 Razor: W4 (1951) Gillette Black-Tip SuperSpeed Blade: Astra SP (3) Brush: Razorock Plissoft 22 Cream: KMF fragrance-free This is the second of ten razors from @Morman Bridge's recent PIF. For those who are not familiar with the Black-Tip SuperSpeed, they were made during the Korean War when a shortage of Brass forced Gillette to use alternative materials such as Steel and Aluminum. This particular razor is dated from 4Q51, but has the Aluminum handle which is more common on razors from 1952. The distinctive black knob is plastic. I've been curious to try one of these for a while; one of my favorite razors is an NDC Milord and the Black-Tip represents an interesting variant on the 40's SuperSpeed. My first impression of the razor is the light weight; it is definitely one of the lightest razors I own. The overall effect is to be very mild but with the efficiency of the 40's SS design. Two passes produced a very nice DFS with no irritation or blood.

#32 -Kai Captain -Omega Pro -Stubble Trubble -Ogallala Bay Rum Gouged myself a bit on the first dam stroke of my shave this morning. Nothing more than a scratch really, but it put a bit of a damper on an otherwise really nice shave. I like the Kai a lot. I find it slowly creeping up on the Irving Barber in the shave count, as I reach for it more and more. Stubble Trubble once again gives me a perfect gloopy lather, that is slick enough to skate on, and holds up forever. A Pro loaded up with it is probably enough for twelve passes. Have a good day everyone.
Great set of pictures. The collage really tells the whole story of your shave. The air bubbles on your brush make that picture for me.
