Man, that pic is creepy. I can see about three different human heads in the swirls. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I just want to take this time and share what great customer service Peter Wolf (owner and proprietor of Wolf Whiskers) has shown me today. I recently purchased a one-of-a-kind wolf whiskers brush from a fellow wet-shaver. This brush, strangely enough, had no WW insignia on the box and no WW coin medallion (makers mark) on the bottom. (pics below). I contacted Peter and he not only spent hours researching his archives (he keeps records and pictures of ALL of his work), but he promptly messaged me back and was very nice about it...even to the point of giving me the history of it, reason for no insignia, et al. Peter Wolf's customer service has always been legendary, and this is yet another example of why. He always goes above and beyond, and this is even AFTER he produces world-class brushes that are the gemstone collection pieces of many wet-shavers out there. He has earned my business for life.
Are you going to share the story with us, or do we just have to sit here and wonder why it has no medallion too?
I'm pretty much resigned to only purchasing WW handles for the rest of my life...If I could ever get back on the wait list.
Here are his messages on the story (I have done some editing for obvious reasons): Me, "Sorry to bother you, but I wanted to ask about this brush. I bought it from a fellow wet shaver, and he claims it to be a wolf whiskers brush, but I'm not 100% sure, and I was curious if you could confirm it. It came in the box pictured (which looks like your box without the insignia), and the brush appears to be the Joe mocha color with a Roman vase shape, but there is no WW medallion on the bottom." Peter Wolf: "Can you tell me who you got it from? I have only used that box for my father in law's brushes and twice for some gifts that I made." "The box is more than likely one of mine. I have used it for gifting or to family. I rarely have gifted brushes though. I rarely made a brush without the coin, especially once I had gotten the boxes. I had the coins at that time. It might be mine, but I need to see upright pictures too. I don't know why I would have left that tailstock dot on the bottom. That is not how I do things." "I found it. It was (an experimental brush) way back from August 14th, 2015, sold originally to a guy named (redacted) and it sold for (redacted) because it was a modified handle that didn't go as planned. That explains the no coin, the no label on the box and strange shape that is not the Roman Vase (but similar to)." He literally went through all his archives and records. Given the rate he sells brushes, that was a lot of work.
