January 27, 2017 Timeless OC .95 Gap Feather (3) BSB-2 with Vie-Long Two Band Fan Route 66 Lumberjack Another great shave this morning. Two passes with minimal touch ups ended in a near BBS which for me is about the perfect work morning shave. I try to keep the entire shaving routine from start to finish under 10 minutes. Setups like today's allow me to achieve this goal with ease. I hope everyone has a great Friday.
SOTD January 27, 2017 Blade: Chinese Schick Razor: Schick I1 injector Brush: Vulfix 2006c badger Lather: Route 66 Twisted Tweed Post: Witch hazel splash enhanced with Fine American Blend, Nivea sensitive balm WTG, touch-up Very nice shave this morning. I really like the scent of Twisted Tweed. The performance is terrific as always. Loaded the Vulfix brush with the soap moistened on the top, slowly adding water while loading. Got shiny and beautiful lather as normal. One full pass with touch-up and call it done. Really comfortable and easy shave. Have a great day!
27 January 2017 Last Voskhod Blade Focus Shave. For my TGIF shave this morning I pulled out the Simpsons Unscented Shaving Cream. I've looked around and noticed that Simpsons doesn't get much love around here. Anyway, I like it. Whipped up a nice, slick lathering, brushed it on and got after it. The Russian steel is still mowing down the stubble. Alum was a little barky again today as I am still wrestling with the jawline. I've tried stretching the skin on the 1st pass, waiting 'til the 2nd and going primarily ATG. Still haven't got it. I'm hoping for an "Aha" moment. So I finished up as is my wont with a hot/cold rinse followed by an icy cold towel sprinkled with Clubman. Walked the dog and it was away to work. No shave tomorrow. Sunday, the GSB's take the helm. Stay tuned. Have a great day y'all and an even better weekend. HOOAH!
