So what duties are part of being Secratary of the thread? Would that include ordering the Vodka/ Sake?
Just make sure it doesn't involve you supplying any of the vodka/sake. Ordering is one thing. Paying for it is another.
Excellent recommendations from both Jared and Adam. Either TGN or Envy would be excellent knots. One word of caution, if the opening at the top of the handle is 22mm, I would order a 20mm knot. When ordering the size is the diameter of the plug. Most sizes require an opening 1.5 to 2 mm larger than the plug size.
Thanks, but when I was in the 30-day thread before, I wasn't seriously focusimg on strategies. This time, I will be.
Good heads up. Also, I have read that the Envy knots run large. I haven't set one myself, but have bought them, and they do seem to run really big for their listed size.
And insuring that I make it to the sales floor on time after drinking the vodka/sake. Also keeping tabs on Ivan's location.
Though today is a no shave day for me, I'm still doing shave related things this morning. Pulled maintenance on my NEW. Gave it a bath in Palmolive dish detergent w/oxy followed by a toothpaste scrubbing. The Voskhod blade moved off the field and the Gillette Silver Blue has assumed the watch. That is all.
I have seen Envy White knots require holes larger than 2mm bigger than the plug. The Envy knot is so dense packed with hair that it bulges out above the plug.
Not that I distrust brother Drygulch, but if he's going to be in charge of the Class VI stores, I think a Asst.Sec may be a prudent course.
Thanks for the recommendations. Also for the heads up about the sizing issue, especially with Envy White knots. Probably what I had better do is pull (destroy) the old knot and then get a good look at the cleaned handle so I know exactly what I have to work with before I go dropping any coin on an actual knot. I reknotted three grungy old vintage boars before, but I was using Maggards synthetic knots at about $7 a pop. For that I was willing to buy 3 or 4 on spec and then force fit things if necessary. Not the way to deal with a handle I like and a good $25 to $60 knot. Of course, if I do this, it's going to blow my NB'17 all to hell...
Great to hear. I'm glad to hear that for both of you - flashback triggers are no fun either for the person suffering them or for anyone around them. And to be honest, KMF is actually one of the finest creams out there anyway, and dirt cheap too.

I hearby nominate @wristwatchb as treasurer. He's retired, so has time to track both the funds and the boys. Thank you for volunteering. I wouldn't want to have to track what Neal and the boys consume. Do we get the psychological exams before or after?
