Happy Anniversary January!! January 29 Mostly Shavettes Razor - Feather SS Blade - (?) Soap - Mitchell's Wool Fat Brush - Semogue 620 Post - Alum Three days left in January. Another fast month, or so it seems. I'll finish up on the Feather SS to complete the shavette theme, and use the Feather Pro blade. I still had one loaded up from the last time I used the razor but don't remember if this is the 2nd or 3rd shave on the blade. No matter. These blades easily go 7+ days. I'm sure it will go the next three. The Semogue and Fat for a room filled with lather. Slick and very cushiony and a great feel. Even though I haven't used a pain stick for a bit I found the start to be automatic. Makes me happy that I don't have to think as much to start a shave with this razor now. Automatic angle and first stroke to get things started. Two full passes to a very nice DFS with no blood or other problems. Alum was just a bit warm but nothing out of the ordinary. This shave was good enough that it sparked my interest in obtaining some other AC style razors at some point. I could see myself switching completely to this style at some point. Not sure when or where that point is but that may be in my future. My weekend has arrived so I'll have some time to fully catch up around here. February thread will be up late tomorrow night for you early birds out there. I hinted at the theme last night - anyone have a clue yet?
Back on the prairie...too tired to shave right now, maybe later....or possibly one pass ATG glory tomorrow. Your call.
You need to talk to my lawyer. You haven't paid January's licensing fees to use my likeness.... We'll let it slide until Tuesday.
This bottle of Osage is part of history and should be enshrined in the TSD hall of fame and preserved for posterity.
Decision reached. Saw @Keithmax online and made a choice... Barbasol Menthol something Ralf Aust 5-8 Skill One pass grail attempt tomorrow with a real straight.
Day with Omega silver tip No work today so decided to give the brush what it is best suited to, a hot scuttle and cream. Today QCS and Dovo Bismarck are joining the party. I just touched up the razor on my new Zulu Grey stone so wanted to check out the new stone. The brush is huge and splays great so it stays good and in the scuttle. Not only does this big knot makes lots of lather it releases it too. The edge was smooth but did not feel as sharp as the razors I finish on my Shapton glass 16k. Four passes plus a bonus WTG pass. Zero blood and zero irritation but just a hair short of BBS. Still an excellent shave. Irritation A+ Closeness A- Smoothness A+ Sharpness A-
What is the worst that could happen? I pass ATG, no problem. I guess you need some excitement on the prairie.
I picked up some Osage a while back in hopes of menthol glory. I found myself wanting more kick out of it. Barbasol Brisk is holding it down for now. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
I totally think it's strong, but Osage isn't insanity. Order TSD Iced SubZero AS Milk or Splash. It's the real deal. You can also order a product called M Bomb. You need M Bomb. Trust. https://www.theshavedenshop.com/the-shave-den-m-bomb-menthol-additive.html https://www.theshavedenshop.com/the-shave-den-aftershave-splash.html
This sounds promising. CRSW Limenthol does it on the soap end. Sounds like some SubZero is in my future. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
