Open Comb Central - The Place With Real Teeth (No R41, Hybrid or Closed Combs)

Hello all, here's my OC SOTD for Today-



I have had this Nickel Gillette New SC for awhile now, but haven't used it til now. The reason being is that mostly I have had less than stellar shaves with them. Not so today! This little razor really opened my eyes to the wonderful world of New Short Combs. I wish I could figure out the name of this set. The case is one of those that was made for the European market and the razor is nickel plated.

I'm doing a blade Focus with my NEW right now. I'm using GSB's this week. It's a stubble assassin. I shave M-F for work and yesterday I got a one and a half pass nearly BBS shave. Good luck with your NEW.

Thank you Andrew. I noticed when I posted that the blade exposure looks huge in the photo.

 

It does, I'm surprised we cant see any writing on the blade LOL

It has softened up but still has lots of backbone.

 

That's great. My D01 3 band would peel paint before it softened up.
