I remind us of past posts, mistakes, and shinanigans. I also help organize shenanigans into history making events. I also can call Ivan, Yuri, Igor and the boys if someone needs to be history. I knew my history degree would be good for something.

Its the He-Man Vegetal Haters Club. I'm actually the Sargent at Arms for the group.

Or if he needs it done quickly, soberly, and correctly, he calls the shaving Yakuza.

That sounds like a "Doh!" moment.
I'm gonna stay on the side lines with my bottle of The Veg. I'm chosen, and I know you can lead a Hungarian Cavalryman to the battle but you can't make him fight.

Another shave with the new Kamisori yesterday. Managed to stab myself behind my ear with the tip. Other than that, good shave.

It seems like a few of the "history making events" didn't need a lot of organizing. They kind of grew legs of the own and eventually ended as CT's.

I agree. I revisit VDH Deluxe & Luxury (both scented), and Col Conk Lime when I do a Full Den Soap Rotation. They aren't bad like the goat milk soap I purchased because the sales clerk was cute. They don't have a rancid smell like the puck of Marvy that got binned with extreme prejeduce.
Glycerin based soaps share commonality with veg oil or tallow soaps. As I understand the chemistry when soap is made glycerin is part of what's made, released, or present. So making a soap with it as a base ingredient or adding a couple drops to soap while making lather can be part of the spectrum of enjoyable lather.
There is a bias against lower priced products. Not snobbishness, but the perceived "it costs more so it must be better" paradigm. I'm a thrift store shopper, buy AS at discount price stores, and thoroughly enjoy my $5.00 Fat Boy. A luxurious shave can be had without top end products. Technique Trumps Tools applies to every facet of the shaving process. It's not just how you use the Hardware (Ride the Cap), but making the Software behave (Like it owes you money).
Now I'm going to dig down in my cabinet for that puck of ColConk Lime for my next shave!

VdH Deluxe will reenter my rotation once I finish up a sample of Dr Jon's Hydra, and a Palmolive shave stick will be grated into my VdH bowl once I use up the La Toja in it now. After that I plan on only keeping one commodity soap on hand and that will probably be Arko.

Thank you Andrew. Of course it's going to be highly subjective but curiosity has finally gotten the best of me. Ultimately it won't change my using it but hopefully after this month I'll no longer wonder.
