The 5th and final lineup of Motorhead was the best lineup of Motorhead. While previous lineups recorded the "classic" songs like Overkill, Ace Of Spades, Orgasmatron and Going To Brazil, it was this lineup that recorded the best and most consistent music of the bands brilliant career. Phil Campbell's growling Gibson Explorer was a much better fit than "Fast" Eddie Clark's mid rangy Fender Strat and Mikkey Dee's boundless talent behind the drum-kit brought Motorhead to a place Philthy "Animal" Taylor could never even dream of going. R.I.P. Lemmy and long live Mikkey Dee and Phil Campbell !!!
SiriusXM finally ended the run of the Billy Joel Channel. Back to listening to Classic Rewind. And of course whatever CD strikes my fancy.
Today they were playing Oldies on the overhead at work. Gonna have to break out my American Graffiti soundtrack CD for my truck.
