Value Focused February Today's value shave comes courtesy of a Spanish drug store standby, Lea. All Shave sticks tend to be great value, and this is no exception. It's similar to La Toja in scent and performance. Did the normal two pass DFS thing and since the Heroes fan club has been out in force lately, there was no way today was anything other than (per legend) the official aftershave of Mr. John Wayne. That's right, @RetLEO-07 --The Duke really was a hero, in addition to being a movie star. Today was hunting dogs, eccentric DJ selections, 90 of garage jam band with some friends on bass and 62f today as an added break from the cold windy plains. Other than that... all is quiet in Colorado. Have a super Sunday!
Voskhod and GSB are in my sample kit but it has not arrived and could arrive anytime up to March9th. Found the Wilkinson's locally as a stop gap measure until I figure out what is best. Also found out that a store called SallyBeauty sells derby extra, derby professionals and blue personnas as future possibilities if I need something quick. Of course, no one has anything sharper so far Frank
Very good! The generic blades at Walgreens and Kroger and Others are Israeli Personna, and are as good as anything else. They are in an old school 10ct dispenser. Another good stopgap/thing to know. They are sold under dozens of labels.
Revenge is a dish best served cold. Brady (and his whole squad) have had this one whipped up and on the counter since Labor Day. The Falcons are hot. This could be fun.
While I am in the Atlanta group it would be great fun to watch Goodell try and look happy when he handed the trophy to Brady and Belichick.
I told them that "gas station sashimi" was a bad idea, but @Keithmax had sent Soju from his Seoul clan for Lunar New Year. What started as a simple convoy from Kyoto to central Tokyo somehow went south fast. There were incidents, accidents and likely repercussions. Kids today just won't listen sometimes.
What's the worst that could happen? A lot, apparently. Egg salad sandwiches probably a bad idea too. I am so happy I am the type that can learn object lessons.
I've eaten a few egg salads sandwiches that were of questionable origin from a corner store. Fortunately no major issues. I do draw the line on raw fish, however. Well, it depends on the number of dead roaches in the microwave.
Pervious oil spills on the South Coast have induced bumper crops of Gulf shrimp. Seems BP's hydrocarbon release couple years ago didn't spur the little guys to gorge and breed. The road side seafood dealers of "fresh" shrimp aren't on every corner. Maybe those guys that built that new casino cornered the markets.
Unagi roll - do it! Smoked eel makes for my favorite sushi. I've taught my father to make California roll. He keeps Nori and wasabi stocked for the occasional snack. We've made several experimental batches. The grands liked PB&J roll. I've suggested but we haven't yet assembles a cheeseburger roll to get mom to try. She's very much against "that raw fish stuff".
