My friend, Mort, gave me these vintages blades today. See more here: http://jrshaving.blogspot.com/2017/02/vintage-blades.html
My haul for the month so far Thayers Witch hazel - lavender and peach AOS - oud this is their new scent 2 - 1934 Aristocrat cases Velvet and a gold single ring . Thanks to @Morman Bridge !! For the fabric and the single ring
I think it's good as long as the blade's locked in tight. It shaved great, so I probably should just leave it be.
Two vintage Sheffield-made straight razors showed up tonight. Both are about the same age, similar size and region. The two are in decent condition, requiring only modest clean-up and honing. More info about these two can be found in the Straight Razor section.
Yeah.. Keep all of my Soaps on a shelving Rack, and all my soups have individual containers....besides my samples.. so hopefully i will be ok
Sigh. Another mail call today! 4 second hand soaps, almost not used. Already have the XXX, but it's too good not to have a spare
The other adult resident here in my house is not a fan either... so you're not alone But man I love it.
My wife doesn't much care for XXX either, even though she bought it for me. But I like. Now you know to stay away from other AdP Colonia scented soaps.
Maybe I'll just trade it for some stirling. lol I'm still trying to get a tub of stirling. The last one I got was Texas on fire.. I only opened it and my wife was like " oh hell no "
Today I received a second box of goodies from my International Trade friend John @Sparrow. The Suribachi bowl, traditionally used to grind spices, but I use it as a lather bowl. Steeper sided than the one I've been using, or that I posted the other day. This is a vintage ceramic piece of China from Japan. John also sent some Gillette 7 O'clock Black blades from India, and ironically Personna blades made in the USA! The clear handled brush is from an Osaka Barber shop. NOS with soft bristles so I'm saying Badger because boar isn't that soft. Not pictured are three generous samples of ToBS shave cream; Eton College, Sandalwood, & Cedarwood.
