Snow day. School's closed, I'm off. Wish I wasn't.
They build three snow days into the calendar. What doesn't get used as a snow day off gets used as a bonus day off towards the end of the school year. Last year we used one snow day. From the other two we got a four day Memorial Day weekend and another three day weekend after that. I'd rather have my snow days when it is warm and sunny, not when I have to be out shoveling in the wind and cold.

 

Hindsight is always 20/20.

He bowed out some time ago. Health reasons, I believe.

Days off are a trade off for less than stellar pay. I won't complain.

You know I went all the way down to Louisiana..get me a mojo hand and I just noticed there they are on ebay..and amazon..had good reviews too. Huh just goes to show you live and learn...

 

So, after a Wednesday that was 63 and a Thursday that had a freakin' snow storm, it's 26 degrees an' I'm freezin' my furry white as...butt off.

There is no gravity, the world sucks.

 

How much did you get up your way? We got about 3" and they closed the schools for the day.
My wife talked to my Mom, who is Maine, along the coast 'bout an hour up Rt 1 from Bar Harbor. They got 20" --- schools had a delayed opening!

 

How'd things go with your eye appointment?

 

A little over 4 inches. Maine knows from snow!
