Wow, I just realized we are on pace to top 3000 posts in this thread this month. Not sure what the all time record is, but that must be close.
Focus Shave #46: -Kai Captain -Simpson Classic 2 Best -I Coloniali Mango -Stirling Gentleman A pleasant shave that could have been much better but I ended up rushed to finish. Neck is a little rougher than I would have liked to leave it, but no owies and I smell good. Hope you all have a great new week.
Very good vendor site Looks like a winner from way out here in Denver. These reports are my faves! PS: Just let the puck dry. don't overthink this!
SOTD February 12, 2017 Blade: Chinese Schick Razor: Schick L1 injector Brush: None - hand lathered Lather: Speick shave cream Post: Witch hazel splash enhanced with Speick aftershave, Nivea sensitive balm WTG, touch-up Quick and easy shave this morning while out of town at the family farm. One pass with touch-up is all that I needed. Not the closest shave, of course, but plenty fine for the weekend. Have a great evening!
I over think everything. But thanks. Don't know if I'll get a shave in tomorrow, but either tomorrow night or Tuesday we will see if I can duplicate it. Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk
The soap is very soft and loads quite quickly. Lather is very good, doesn't feel drying, whips up thick and sick. I can't compare the scent as it is the only barber shop scent I have. But it is not powdery at all. I like it! Sent from my Galaxy S6 using Tapatalk
I sent them pictures of the Kent I bought, and nobody seemed amused. It is pretty early in the year to be antagonizing them isn't it?
I completed NB16 successfully. So far in 2017, I have purchased: 2 bottles Adidas Dynamic Pulse, my grocer discontinued it and it was clearance at $4+/per ($9 total) 3 Cans Barbasol, to expand and try new formulae (call it $6) 1 Styptic Pencil, other one dropped and shattered ($2) I am at about $17 for 2017. and I am not taunting the NB17 guys as much as I am razzing @PickledNorthern for shaving in the brush wing of his shaving museum tonight!
Adam, can you take another picture of the look on her face when you tell her she's meme fodder for a bunch of middle aged four year olds? THAT'S the one I want to see.

The last couple of days have been a whirlwind. I have barely been able to keep up with this thread it is moving so quickly. Shaves have been quick and on the fly, and I have been slack in my updating. In short, here are the last two shaves. Shave #1: Schick Eversharp Type H (Ladies' Gold Tone Injector travel razor) Chick blade RazoRock Plissoft brush Route 66 Bourbon Jungle Osage Rub, Stirling unscented menthol balm I bought this razor for less than $4 off of the Bay to keep SE month interesting. It is smaller than I expected. The cap is heavier than expected. The outside had very minor wear. There was still a blade blank in the razor and I don't know that it had ever been used. It was an interesting shave. It was odd to hold, but I got a surprisingly decent shave out of it and plan to put it in my travel kit. Shave #2: I managed to lose focus again. Picked up my Magic shavette with an Astra SP blade for my first two passes. All was going well, so I called in my Slim for the ATG pass. I know, not an SE blade. So I decided to use only one side of it so I could still technically call it a SE shave. Well, I failed at that too. Still, a DFS shave was had with some KMF cream out of the tube. I am going to try and focus more heartily tonight. I am up for a head shave tonight, and am trying to decide which razor is best suited to the job. The Merkur 34c did a decent job on my very first head shave with a blade. I usually just clipper cut my hair every two weeks or so, and have for many years. So this is an interesting new endeavor. Don't try to keep up. This thread is like a party that never stops. Jump in and out as needed. It's what I do. We are having a huge month!
