What Straight Razor Did You Use Today?

Today's shave(I couldn't wait until tonight) was with a W&B that I had just restored and honed. I did a two pass shave, that was almost silent. It was so silent I thought "Crap, the edge I put on it sucks". But, after a stubble check, It was cutting very smoothly. This looks like a 1/4 hollow grind blade. So, zero blade flex, and almost silent. When I finished, I had a BBS face, with no Nicks, cuts, or weepers. Only Smooooth results. It's odd shaving with an almost silent razor. But, I can't argue with the results.

Razor- Wade & Butcher, Medium Hollow Ground. Sheffield.

Probably because the razor is a "medium" size razor.......:)

I'll measure it when I get back home. It looks to be about a 12/16 inch blade. Its not huge, but it is chunky. They are probably referring to the grind. Its definitely a good shaver.

I was going to go big today and instead went small. Instead of reaching for my largest blade, I picked up the smallest. With a hint of a smile and a smaller blade the Friedr Schlemper was super easy to maneuver and left me with a lovely shave. :happy093:

2nd shave of the day... big mistake!! I shaved this morning in order to be clean shaven for meetings throughout the day and dinner this evening. Thought I'd shave my typical evening. Major irritation:(. I typically shave daily, but apparently a double is a big no no. Good thing the corporate directors and board members are gone so I can skip a few days and get some of my skin back:)

What a coincidence this our BOD week too. I had a pre meeting with our chairman and majority investor so what did I choose, a pain stick. Feather DX with a Feather Pro. Fortunately a good shave and no blood.

Tonight's shave was with a freshly honed blade. I have a couple of these, so I knew it would give a great shave, and it did. Two pass super sharp smooth shave. Smooth issue free results.

I shaved with this one other time. It was a nice shave. Now that I have discovered natural finishers. I wanted to give this a round on my Thuri. 200 or so laps and I have silky smooth razor.

Another great shave with the Flic. I need to reach for the Cella more often. What a great thick creamy lather this tallow based old school soap provides. BBS and feeling great:)
