The handle was part of a purchase I made through ATG for a Mongoose B2. I have a friend who has a machine shop that he lets me use.

A wonderful 2 pass shave with minimal touch ups ended in my normal near BBS. The one spot on my neck is just not worth chasing most workdays. I finished off the shave with a splash of Fine Fresh Vetiver. I hope everyone has a great Tuesday.

Not only is today Valentine's Day, but 17 years ago today, a woman way out of this guy's league actually said "I do." Just for the record, we didn't actually plan to get married on Valentine's Day, in fact we didn't plan on getting married. We actually got married in Las Vegas and didn't realize it was Valentine's Day until we saw the news crews at the court house while getting our license. 17 years, 4 kids, and a few serious medical issues later, we are happier than ever. Somehow, she has gotten more beautiful while I have just started getting old.

I got up a little early to get cleaned up and shaved. I chose to use the Lavender and Rose SC paired with the Merkur, which I set to 5. I got a DFS, but I need to change the blade. I finished with the wonderfully scented Chypre Rose Concerto AS.

I then had a little time to make some breakfast and coffee for my bride. Breakfast in bed doesn't work too well when you have a 6 year old in the bed with you, but I got lucky and she got up a bit early too. We got to enjoy breakfast and a cup together this morning, which is a rarity. The best morning I have had in a while. I hope everyone has a great day!

Day 2 with my Thäter bulb

I broke out my Feather DX pain stick with a Feather Pro blade so I felt the need for some super lather, AoS tallow soap and AoS cream. The brush was a good match for the super lather and 4 passes and no blood, always a big plus when shaving with a pain stick. Just a tickle from the alum and just missed the long lasting BBS.

Nice shave this morning only hampered by two weepers. Odd since weepers are rare these days. But that's how it goes every now and then. Great scents with Cahaba Blues and Fine American Blend. The Jayaruh brush is fantastic and the G8 performed quite well. Nice results in the end.
