I adopted this fine 3-inch strop from Drygulch Leatherworks, @Drygulch . It was the strop in his straight razor loaner set.
Received my Blackland Blackbird Polished Razor with 85mm Handle along with both the open and closed comb base plates. After waiting over 20 weeks, it came while I was out of town on Wednesday! I had my first shave this morning using the closed comb plate. It was a different feel then my other razors and I understand how some note some drag. I think the base plate sharp edges swipe the lather completely away and there is less residual slickness then with my other razors. I will need to experiment further, but nevertheless the shape was extremely close and very enjoyable! Steve
