That is one of the ones that caught my eye. Just a reminder to anyone not familiar with ordering from the EU. Our price in the states is the Tax Exc price since we don't have to pay VAT.

For about a year and a half I have kept meaning to make that my next brush. I keep finding next next brushes though and pushing this one back. How can you go wrong for under $45 shipped from Spain?

I hope fan shaped knots are making a come back. I like the more traditional look. Yesterday I started cleaning four hanks of horse tail hair I harvested. After reading about the mane to tail mix ratios I'm going to see if I can get some mane, too. From the four different horses there's a wide variety of colors. The texture varies as well. None anywhere as stiff as boar so the idea of a stubby knot makes sense.

Recalling previous use of this cream I used less product. Plenty of lather whipped up by the Maggards synthetic knot. Using the adjustable feature I WTD'ed at 9, dropped down to 6 for the rest of the shave. Almost forgotten what razor burn and alum heat feels like but DFS+ is becoming common. I don't have any wood toned AS, so Ed's Clubman was the easy choice.
    Good Shaves Y'all!

    Stirling Sandalwood SS

    Stirling Unscented PSB
    Stirling Sandalwood AS

It's been a rough morning so far. At least the late morning shave was nice. I am off for the day, so it should get better. I hope everyone has a great day!

Trying my hand at the Snapseed app. I do like the focus adjustment (lens blur), but that vintage filter (RetroLux) made my razor look dirty.

I'm one of those folks who it appears that SDM doesn't work for. I had quite a bit of redness/burn after using a SDM sample once. Might try it once more at some point (on a day I'm not shaving the day after) just to be sure. Haven't had any problems with any other Stirling soaps, but did have a similar reaction to a Sandalwood soap from a different brand. One of the folks on here gave me some excellent advice, that I'd pass on to you- Put a bit on a sensitive part of your arm (inside of wrist, inside of bicep, etc.) to see if you get a reaction from it.

I too have a brush sickness. I placed an order for the ATG Shavemac Group Buy. I have wanted a Shavemac Flat Top for almost 2 years and just could not turn down the discount. However, this purchase has caused me to put myself in BAD treatment. So I am cooling things until I am ready to part with some of the brushes I currently have.

Did that over lunch (aft of the watch band, palm side) and so far no reaction. Thanks for the suggestion. I read that recommendation too and decided to apply.

Nice write up, Frank. You've made a lot of progress in a short period of time!

I'm glad you like the Voskhod blades. I've got some coming direct from a seller in Russia, and I look forward to trying them. I rarely shave my chin ATG, but I'll try your technique tomorrow to see if it works for me.

Good luck identifying what is causing the irritation. Change one thing at a time, and I'm sure you'll figure it out.

Great set up, Jim. I hope you have a great President's Day. Don't forget to return your Bride's Lenox Eagle to the curio cabinet. :)

Hard to beat that fantastic set up, Clint! Once I use up some of my soap, I plan to pick up some Route 66 Rum Runner.

I hope the PT continues to help you. Enjoy your holiday!

Thank you Charlie. The PT seems to be working this time. With any luck I'll be on the motorcycle soon.

Thank you Jim. The Doctor and I discussed riding this morning. She is fine as long as I keep the rides short and work up to longer distances. So I might try to ride up to Dahlonega, GA (small mountain town) for some coffee on morning this weekend. That will only be an hour each way but just riding will help with my mental health.

Awesome set up and great lather. Nice pairing on the soap and AS balm!
