Today I am cheating a little. This is the same picture as last time. No changes today. I have only a few of these blades left. Too bad, it seems they are no longer available. Brandless badger brush RazoRock Protege Superman Titanium Thayers Stirling.
Thank you for your kinds words. Highest form of compliment is referring to something that reminds someone of a loved one.
Thank you very much. It just came in today. First time I've used it and it's a dandy. Thanks so much Roby.
On a whim I grabbed my grandpa's straight today. It was surprisingly smooth and efficient in the first pass. I couldn't believe how it had changed. Then I remembered I had shaved yesterday so it was only facing one day of stubble instead of my usual two. Still a very enjoyable shave. It forced me to use no pressure. we all know how great the tech head is, no need to review it. 4. Gillette after shave splash. 5. Gillette balm for sensitive skin. 6. Gillette Nacet 2nd shave. ....a fun travel shave!

Thank you and I completely concur with you. The Tigerwood is superb material and the artisan, Brad Sears, did a fantastic job! It is one of the loveliest bowls I have ever seen and I am very fortunate to have it. Here is a better photo of it.
Yes I agree Roby's injector sotd's are amazing and he is my favorite poster. I look forward to his daily posts.
THREE DAYS OF SHAVES SATURDAY Prep: RazoRock Mister Joe Razor: Gillette ball end tech Blade: Croma Brush: Fine Angel Hair Synthetc Soap: Dr. Jon's Conquest Post: Proraso Green balm, Reef Point Submariner aftershave This turned out to be a ridiculously smooth BBS shave and couldn't be happier with the results. The scent of Conquest is quickly becoming one of my favorite Dr. Jon's scents. Its a slightly sweet scent with sandalwood, fig, and blackberry which is a interesting combination.Giving Propaganda a run for the money. Have been happy to see them coming up with new scents that are one of a kind, mixing scents that smell great is a work of art and Dr. Jon's has been stepping their game up with both scents and their willingness to improve the soap formula. To be honest I didn't care for many of their original scents, but most of the newer scents are more complex and my cup of tea. Finished the shave with Proraso Green old formula and a splash of RP Submariner. Hope everyone also had a great shaving experience. SUNDAY'S SHAVE Prep: RazoRock Mister Joe Razor: Icon X3 slant/ Maggard MR18C handle Blade: Croma Diamat Brush: Maggard 26mm synthetic Soap: Crown & Crane Jamaican Peppercorn (vegan) Post: Stirling Mountain Man A/S Was interested the compair the tallow with the vegan C&C soap, the vegan seemed to explode with lather a bit faster then the tallow, but both are very nice products, so far I have been more than happy with both the products and the customer service. The scent of Jamaican Peppercorn is pretty unique, it has a bit of a peppery scent but is not overpowering and is a clean scent. The Icon X3 worked so well with the Croma blade I decided to use it for Mondays shave as well. Finished off with Mountain Man splash for a refreshing post shave. MONDAY'S SHAVE Prep: Occams crushed lime pre shave soap Razor: Icon X3 slant/ Maggard MR18C handle Blade: Croma Diamat Brush: Maggard 24mm synthetic Soap: Dr. Jon's Arctic Hydra Post: Folsom & CO Capri, Gentlemen Jon alum block Had a pretty refreshing shave this afternoon. The Arctic Hydra soap doesn't have much of a menthol blast but the citrus scent is exquisite, awesome blend of all types of citrus. This Hydra is the vol.1 and even though I prefer the new harder formula, the original is still a great product. Dr. Jon's has earned a place in the den and I will always have some on hand. The shave today was not as close as it could have been but it was still a good experience. Decided to use the ol' alum block which I haven't used in a dogs age, it did burn a bit but it was fun to give it abother try. Finished off with Folsom & CO Capri which I have been using sparingly since the sample is almost empty and since they went out of business it has become unobtanium. Has a clean citrus scent that went well with the Arctic Hydra and the Crushed Lime pre shave soap. Hope everyone has a great week and enjoys their shaves.
What I would do to be able to use a straight again. I'm afraid to now because my hands are not as steady as before.
Today's shave was with the first Straight razor I had bought, since my failed attempts at "Straight Shaving" in 1984(No strop and nobody knew how to keep them sharp". I've since honed this blade to a keen edge, that gives a wonderfully smooth and forgiving shave. Razor- Wade & Butcher.
