Swarthy means a man with olive skin and also a very heavy, dark-colored beard. I have the same coloring as Saddam Hussein or perhaps a bit darker.

Fantastic rates on shipping. $3.95 for all US orders and free shipping on orders over $75. Amazingly fast shipping and their customer service is probably the best I've come across. You can't go wrong with Stirling. :)

I love the Mountain Man scent so I ordered more of the body butter for my hands and head, and some of the balm in that scent. Its still waiting fulfillment though.

Not only is the $3.95 flat rate a great deal, but they package your order so efficiently. There's no wasted space in the packages! It's quite impressive.

Boom, notification of shipment. I'm almost out of that tester I took out of the soap pass around.

I also like the fact that they use shredded cardboard instead of foam peanuts.

No peanuts to throw at the kids when the static electricity is bad? I want a refund. Lol

lollllllll I've never been asked if I'm Italian but I always get asked if I'm Lebanese or Moroccan. The funniest thing is that I'm Israeli of Russian origin!

I had no idea my favorite soap merchants were based Patriots! This just made my love for their incredible company even stronger.

Thank you for your service to this great country! :thanks:

I use Captain's Choice products as well. I especially love their Bay Rum and their lather bowl. I like knowing they support veterans as part of their business plan.

Disregard the bourbon - I only drink after I shave.

Oops - I just realized you are talking about Stirling - I was thinking about Captain's Choice. I did not know that they (Stirling) were supporters as well. That makes two great companies that support veterans - I need to buy more from each!

p.s. you can see in the background of the photo there are quite a few Stirling soaps.:)

There's no judging here. If I guy wants a belt or three with his morning ritual, it isn't any of our business.

...sad to say that I think I'm building up an allergy to something in the amazing Stirling soaps. :angry017: I'm using the Naked and Smooth, so I know it is not any essential or fragrance oils. I don't believe it is the lanolin either as I use pure lanolin oil directly on my hands and arms in the MA winters. Stirling has some of the cleanest ingredient list of any artisan soap on the market. I know it isn't anything relating to synthetic ingredients or preservatives as that is a common cause for my sensitive face to break out.

This is the 4th time I've shaved with the Naked and Smooth and each time, it gets progressively redder and redder. Even my wife looked at me in shock last night after about a half hour after my shave - my face was full of red blotches. I really didn't feel any discomfort, but I noticed around my lip area was started to become a little swollen as well.

I normally use unscented soaps as I do have incredibly sensitive skin and nearly all shave soaps seem to light my face on fire. I'm going to give it one more shave and see what happens. I haven't changed anything up in my routine such as aftershaves, blades, or razors. The only changing factor has been the soap. I really, really hope this isn't the case as Stirling has been the very best soap I've ever tried. Even after what happened last night, my face is back to normal and smooth as I've ever felt.

Here's hoping it isn't the soap...

what lit my face on fire from Stirling is the Barbershop aftershave, but I used it in the summer, which was the problem.

Can you explain what you mean by the problem being summertime? You have said that a lot, and I always just assumed you meant it wasn't a scent you prefer in warm weather. But now your bringing it up in the context of an allergic reaction makes me think I am misunderstanding you.
