I decided on a grand freeze for tomorrow so I'll be using the Glacial Spearmint soap followed by its matching balm. Both contain enough menthol to make a polar bear want to move to Jamaica!
I just mean that it isn't nearly as comforting in the summer as it is in cooler/colder weather-to me, that is. Has nothing to do with allergy, but to me it is kind of like going into a sauna or hot steambath in the summer. The smell is the same as always, but I just can't appreciate it as much in the warmer/hotter weather.
I bought the white handled one with the largest knot they offer... Holy cow will that thing whip up some lather! It's insane. I swear it has enough for 3 shaves. It's a shame rinsing it down the drain. It's gotta use more product that a smaller knot.
OMG that's funny! I could do that with my Stirling behemoth and load it once! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using Tapatalk
I have that same brush too, and I like it a lot. For a very long time, my preference in brushes tended to run smaller; 22 on the small side, 24 larger. That Simpson 26 was one of the brushes that made me enjoy a giant mop on my face, and buy a couple more bigger ones.
I like the size of the brush, I just wish it would fit in my stand so I could dry it properly. Yours fit the stand? It should come with a warning.
A sad day indeed. I attempted to shave again last night and I broke out in red, blotchy hives once more. Even worse than last time. I honestly have no idea what is causing this reaction. Stirling's products are simply amazing and I'm honestly kind of upset at my face, lol. I've always known I have a lot of allergies, but I didn't think a nearly perfect soap ingredient list would have something in that causes me to break out. The only new ingredient that was in the soap that I've never used before was Castor Oil. I have no idea if I'm allergic to that or not, but I will be PIFing the soap to my wife. She said she can use it to shave her legs. Yet, I see a ray of hope! Even though I can't use their awe-inspiring soaps, I will be definitely be stockpiling up on their aftershave splashes. I've had the honor to use those before and they were better than any I've used before. Plus, those scents can be mouthwatering. My skin seems to love it and I want to give Rod and his company all the business I can.
I just ordered another Stirling soap - Coniferous. I have a couple other brands of woodsy soaps - I'm sure this one will be great. Also I just signed up for the May 13th gathering of wet shavers in Adrian Michigan. I see that Stirling will be one of the vendors in attendance. I look forward to seeing them there. I'll be on a 4 week road trip for the month of May - trying to figure how to be in Michigan for the one day and still get to all the other places I want to visit.
Got my Mountain Men ASB and body butter yesterday and it came with a sample bath soap in Mountain Man. Good with it.
I love it. The body butter scent sticks around a little bit but not over powering at all. I haven't used the ASB yet but I will be ordering some of the shave soap in the very near future. Sent from my VS990 using Tapatalk
I don't know about the body butter aspect, but I may indeed get the aftershave soon(perhaps add it to my "package order" with Sandpiper. The Piper's a given.
I used the body butter on my head, face, and hands. I work outside a lot and my hands dry out pretty bad. Sent from my VS990 using Tapatalk
