I'm fortunate as my wife got me into this hobby, buying me my first kit. I've had to play the "you got me into this" card a few times :D

Today's shave was with a Pre-Civil War razor, 1830-1837. Fantastically sharp and smooth.

    Razor- Wade & Butcher
Brush- Vintage "Oceans" Boar. Made in Germany
    Soap- Stirling Glastonbury

Thanks. I bought it a few years ago, just for the Old Spice Juice. I'm not into collecting decanters. One day, when I'm tired of looking at it, and after its empty, I will give it away.

I have a number of Old Spice decanters. I sort of collect them. I prefer them in the original box.

The good old days-when it was called Old Spice, not "New Spice" of today

Well, you won't like hearing this, but I toss the boxes. I still have several NOS Shultons, in original boxes.

Taylor of Old Bond Street peppermint shave soap
Gold Dollar 6/8 full hollow round end
    Gillette black handle superspeed (D2)
    Astra sp (3)
    Gold Bond body lotion
Tonight I used items gifted me by @John Beeman . The peppermint is very nice for the bath and shave. The Gold Dollar made me smooth as silk, cleaned up my sideburns with the Gillette. Finished the show with gold bond lotion, I'm smooth, comfy, and smell nicely minty.
Hope y'all did as well, or better.

First time out with the Filarmonica tonight and she was fine. A very nice balance of smooth and sharp. Granted she worked with 36 instead of 48 hours of stubble so the first pass was a little misleading but the alum told the tale at the end. Really close shave and mild noise from Osma. I'm liking this Filly. :happy036:
