I want to order one of their flat top knots for a 22mm replacement I want to do. Can't wait to see yours, and get some feedback. Is it s D01?

I got one of the group buy Shavemac brushes on ATG forum. I went with a D01 2 band flat top 26 x 50. I just hope it isn't too much knot for me.

That should be a big ole knot for a flat top. I don't know what you other brushes are, but I bet that one is gonna feel like your biggest. Super cool.

You are correct. I spent a lot of time in many parts of Asia. All of them a little different, but very different than NA. They used to call Koreans the Irish of Asia. :) SK does have some great women golfers. :happy088:

The 400 #3 I used last week is the biggest feeling brush I have now. I think the new one will be pretty cool. At any rate it will certainly be different from anything else in the den.

    Razor: Gem Junior
Blade: Gem by Personna Stainless (3)
    Brush: VdH Boar
    Cream: KMF fragrance-free

I spent some time with the VdH boar over the past few days using it for hand lathers and that seems to have gotten the shedding back under control or, at least, gotten rid of most o the troublesome bristles. This is good since I used it to face lather the KMF.

The razor is another from @Morman Bridge's very generous PIF. It's part of what I assume was a military set- gold Gem Junior with OD metal handle, case, and a pack of Gem Micromatic SingleEdge blades "for Military Use". As the blades are still in their original Cellophane, I'm not sure how much the razor was actually used. It's basic design is the Gem 1912 though I can see definite differences, especially around the comb, from my other (early) 1912. It also seemed a bit more aggressive than my other 1912, requiring a very light touch. That said, two passes yielded a near-BBS with one weeper where it appears I shaved the top off of a pimple. Reminder to self- I really need to look into something like a Featherweight or Pushbutton.

Hope you're all having a good weekend...

It's been a while since coming in here, as being over at my Mom's, followed by the unseasonable warm weather when I returned, took me off of soaps. But what a nice shave this morning with the Rte 66 Cavendish soap. I ran the brush(Jayaruh #59)under hot tap water before beginning to load, which must be akin to the barbershop "hot towel" treatment. 2 passes, although I felt it might have been enough for just the one. The extra was good to touch-up. I've never felt the need to do 3. Finished off with the Clubman S.R., for that ol' West feeling, here in metro Boston.

    Blade/Focus Shave

Pre: Hot shower, VDH Shave Butter w/hot towel and copious amounts of hot water.
Blade: The pride of the Rodina, Voskhod
    Brush: Omega 10098
    Razor: Parker 99r
    Soap: Route 66 "Rum Runner"
Post: Hot/cold rinse, alum block, ice cold towelx2, Dominello Vitali Calming Post Shave Moisturizer
    After Shave: Clubman VIBR
    Prop: "Scoop" the pelican

First shave of the week with the Voskie. With all the good prep and Route 66 soap, the two day growth never had a chance. Since I had the time, a three pass shave was had. BBS no problem. VIBR and the day was off and runnin'.

    AlumiGoose V1 with Triad SS
    Feather Pro (1)
Rudy Vey Rover with TGN Finest
    Reef Point Dragon’s Blood
    [IMG]

The start of a new week brings out some new items. The AlumiGoose V1 will be the razor for the week. The AlumiGoose Version 1 was a limited release item. I find the razor to be more aggressive than my Mongoose Batch 2. Infact I find the AlumiGoose with a Feather Pro to be more aggressive than my Mongoose loaded with a Feather Super. The AlumiGoose is so light and feels even lighter after 2 weeks with the Mongoose. The brush is a Rudy Vey Rover with a TGN Finest knot measuring 24/48mm. The brush has excellent backbone with soft tips and works well with soaps or creams. Reef Point Dragon's Blood soap is up for the week. The scent is a very complex mix of vanilla, amber, incense and citrus. Honestly, I did not care for the scent initially but over time it has become one of my favorites.
The little Rover just whipped up the Dragon's Blood into a rich slick lather. The scent of the soap is very strong and lingers throughout and beyond the shave. Reef Point soaps don't get much press on the forums but I have found them to be excellent performers. I went with a 2 pass routine, XTG & ATG, that almost caught the baby. I couldn't help myself and decided to chase the little guy. Good news is I caught the baby. Bad news is I got a small nick on my right jaw line. The AlumiGoose will bite. I finished up the with a splash of Fine Fresh Vetiver. I hope everyone has a great Sunday.
