I refuse to fly. Period. My last road trip, I packed my Gem 1912 in the wood case, ten Ted Pellas in the blade box, and my boar brush in a pickle jar (with a ventilated cap). I broke a piece of motel soap in half & lathered up in a paper cup.
I don't travel often but spend summers in Cambodia and Vietnam. I'll bring a handful of razors to give to friends, one of which I'll use while there. I have a couple of Schick H razors I'll bring this year among others. Synthetic brush and sturdy IKEA tin of soap . Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk
Here's mine. Goes into hold luggage if flying; no problems so far! Shaving bits n bobs go in to the inner bag: Zips into a 9 1/2" x 5" x 4 1/2" Italian leather wash bag:
I have a Van Der Hagen razor, Van Der Hagen soap, Gustaufson badger brush and Cremo that I use as a preshave. I have a case that I put my razor in ($5 Amazon find). The only time I wont take this kit is if Im flying because you cant take razor blades on a plane and I dont trust being able to find DE blades when Im traveling. Its just easier to go to some little corner store and buy a disposable cart and a can of shave foam.
Then I would have to change jobs. But I agree, flying is a depressing affair. Especially when you have to do it almost every week. Having checked luggage only makes it worse.
