The Cella Shave Soap face-lathered well with my Jayaruh #144 finest badger brush. I did two passes the Ever-Ready 1914 and CVS SE blade, I ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse and alum block, I finished off with T.N. Dickinson's WH and then Pinaud Vegetal AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Wednesday shave!
The rotation finally put me onto a soap and after shave pair that I picked up a month or so ago...and I'm impressed! I can't say enough about this artisan and their wonderful products...fantastic stuff!!

This afternoon's shave: A most excellent shave. New soap - Stirling Coniferous (blooming away), my G1 Fatboy with an Astra SP blade, SOC Boar soaking, and a splash of Proraso to finish. The Stirling Coniferous is a keeper. Produced an enormous amount of lather. Fits in well with my "woodsy" collection of soaps. Also was very fitting today, as I had just finished a long walk with the Maggie Dog. We went through an adjoining nature preserve which has very "deep woods". Large cedars and douglas firs all around and that deep woods, damp, earthy, mossy, smell surrounding us. Love it.

Tonight's shave was with one of my "Rescue Razors"(rust, tarnish, and broken scales). It turned into an absolutely spectacular razor to shave with. A $10 investment, but it feels like a high end razor. I had a two pass, super smooth shave, that ended with a very smooth face. No touch-ups.

SHAVE OF THE DAY

Razor: Gillette Black Beauty (5-4)
Blade: Rapira SS
Brush: Maggard 24mm synthetic
Soap: Deluxe Shaving- Woodbridge
Post: Mickey Lee Kraken milk


Had a decent shave this evening. Decided to lather the Deluxe in this copper bowl I got from a trade. For some reason I can never get the right lather consistancy from bowl lathering so I started in the bowl and face lathered the rest of the time. Really surprised by the scent of Woodbridge since I usually don't care much for lavender, but the Oakmoss and cedarwood blended to make a nice scent. This product is labeled a cream but is more like a croap which is a good thing since I prefer soaps over creams. Got a DFS with a little irritation on the chin, but it was a refreshing shave nonetheless. Finished off with Kraken milk which has sadly been discontinued. Hope everyone had a great shave!
