So long as the razor was made of quality steel and can still take a good edge, everything else (well, almost everything else) is secondary to getting a good SR shave! :happy088:

    Good morning from Denver.
This is the last morning with this razor this week. It has provided some very nice shaves.

In looking at the scales, it's odd to me that they have a lion holding a Double Edge blade. Is the Iberia a Modern Straight Razor?

Getting behind here. Last nights shave with the Robinson Bros, American made straight. A really sharp shaver, but really thin blade. It shaves great, however I seem to prefer the "beefier" blades.

It feels that way but as part of the 30 day focus I am forcing my self to use the same set up 3 or 4 days in a row. My next straight shave will be a different razor.

I stuck with one razor for 30 days, that took some willpower. Several days sounds like a good idea. I'm gonna hafta give that some thought.

Welcome to Denver. Depending on where in Denver you are, you are about 35-50 miles north of me. Enjoy your stay

Tonight's shave was with one of the sharpest razors I own. I had a 1 pass shave with minor touch-ups. Almost BBS, without any nicks, cuts, or weepers. I do like these J.R.Torrey Razors.

    Razor- J.R.Torrey & Co.
    Brush-Semogue 1800 Boar
    Soap- Arko/Sandalwood
    Aftershave- Florida Water

Thanks. They are few and far between. I saw one a few months ago on straightrazorplace for much less than I paid for mine. It looked to be a newer model as well, around $250. It sold quickly, of course.
