To me rosemary is that nice scent on... CHICKEN!!! When I think floral, I think lavender, violets, rose, etc. I read that rosemary is more resinous, camphor scent. Whatever that means. Hey, that what the web has on the scent. To me, it just smells like the herbs used in roasting a chicken and I get hungry...
Reviewer #4 for Piacenza's shave soap forgot to do a spell-check. He said it "loafs" easily. . We all must be careful. (This coming from the son of 2 teachers).
Good analogy! I'm afflicted by this, too. My personal notes on scents look almost like a caveman wrote them, "lemony, good" or "dried flowers, bad..."
I've only tried the bath soap as well, and I would agree, the bergamot is more prevalent than the Lavender. I definitely enjoy the scent, as does my wife, but for whatever reason, I have not ever ordered the shave soap or AS.
His rosemary mint bath soap rocks, is all I know. I can't/won't use the mentholated bath soaps anymore, they dry me out if I don't use a lot of lotion. The rosemary mint is still pretty cooling, but not so drying.
I once had a sample of Rod's Rosemary Mint shave soap. Somehow, the scent and I didn't connect and although the lather was great, I found it was a bit drying. Perhaps the sample came off a puck which was from an earlier batch. Perhaps I'll give that soap a chance again.

A bit off topic but I wish the Glacial Wintergreen, Spearmint, and Obsidian were available in bath soap.
I had it too and I loved it so much. Rod said that he had issues making it so he had to discontinue it. I also had the Glacial Lemon Chill, Obsidian, and Spearmint bath soaps which were the best bathing products I've ever had in my entire life.
