    SHAVE OF THE DAY
    20170310_223014(0).jpg

    Prep: Musgo Real classic
    Razor: Gillette ball end tech
    Blade: Gillette Green
    Brush: Maggard 26mm synthetic
    Soap: Soap Smooth War Blend
Post: Clubman Vanilla, Stirling MITA Balm

Very nice shave this morning. Recieved this soap in the mail this morning from another recent shaving forum transaction. First off, this is the biggest widest soap tin I have ever seen, wider than the one HTGAM tin I came across. Super easy since plenty of room to load. Apparently this was a Limited Edition soap, but it has a clean cologne type of scent with a little menthol, not strong but just enough for it to be comfortable. Managed the 3rd pass with just the leftover slick lather. BBS but did feel a little burn, so decided to throw on a little balm in the evening. Still had a invigorating shave that was very enjoyable. Hope everyone feels the same way about your shave.

Razor - 1918 Gillette Old Style
    Blade - [IMG] (1)
    Soap - Soap Commander Courage
    Brush - BoS Omega 10066
    Post - Alum, Nivea

Change of plans tonight for a couple of reasons. First of all, I'm tired. As in, I moved half of my showroom today to get some new beds on the floor and some of the floor models where I can sell them off. After wrestling with beds all day long I didn't think I had the focus to work a pain stick. Second, I received a package today from Charlie with some Russians he had decided not to try along with, as he put it, "a couple of tucks of Polsilvers". Well it's more than a couple and also includes two tucks of Perma Sharps...one of my favorite Gillette Russians. Thanks!!! Couldn't pass up the chance to use one of the blades he sent so I chose the Polsilver and, in keeping with the aggressive theme, I grabbed the 1918 Gillette Old Style.

Soap Commander and the BoS was an effortless lather. Slick as the ice we may have around here tomorrow and I was ready to go. Two full passes and a partial pass to finish the neck. I kept the '18 on the cap and had an excellent shave. The feel was awesome, the result is BBS and the alum was warm but not a problem. Definitely quieter than normal with this razor, but the blade had a lot to do with that as well. Really a fine shave overall and a nice relaxing way to unwind after a rather long and exhausting day.

Your weekend has arrived! Hope you have a great couple of days! Snow moving in tomorrow, at least enough to stick probably. Can't wait.

Saturday's are a no shave day for me. Sunday starts the shaving week. This week I'll be using my EJ DE89BL with a Shark blade.

    Schick S/S single [ 10-Japan ]

I now know for sure why this PAL is in the top 3 of my favourite Vintage Injectors. Have just completed 10 shaves with this Razor/Blade combination, each one has been V. Good , and so smooth [ yes the PAL], the blade seems to have retained its edge so I may well have further Shaves with it. Am lucky to live in UK and have been able to get hold of different models of this highly under rated Razor.

I had a grand old time lathering up and shaving with the MITA soap - wow, was it ever colder than hell especially during my second pass. The Rubby Dubby Doo was FRIGID when I slapped it on but it felt awesome. Mission accomplished - another super-duper BBS shave! :happy088: :happy088:

Now for something completely different. :) Picked up this razor and brush in a wooden box for $13.00. I don't know anything about them, but if I buy it I use it. The handle on the brush is very heavy and I believe it is brass. The knot is floppy and prickle. I believe it is a black badger. I did end up with a good shave.
