Thank you Doug. Since the razor handle is polished and flat, the trick for me is staying out of the shot.

Forgot how aggresive this razor is.

Just a guess Roger, but that is probably not a good thing to forget. ;)

Wonderful picture. The Cobra can bite if you're not paying attention.

The first swipe with the wrong blade angle is a quick reminder:D

Thanks Clint. I do get a great shave from it and it keeps me coming back.

Application for membership in this fine community of likeminded snake tamers herewith submitted. A Classic somewhere in the mail – hopefully reaching its final destination within the next few days. Meanwhile, I also have the below one to qualify (couldn't find a photo of it in solitude; then again, it much enjoys the company of those other two elements). Anticipating your positive response.

(The King is of the last generation, while the Classic I believe is of the first or second.)

I think it is a good reminder to all of us to pay attention when you change razors. :happy088:

Welcome aboard. The King is the second version with the Classic being the original. To my knowledge the shaving heads are the same on both. You will be able to confirm that shortly.

Thanks! Didn't they in fact do some changes to the head to accommodate the use of the .2mm deeper/wider (depending on perspective...) Super Pro blades? As for the Classic, I have heard people talking of earlier iterations being more aggressive. There are also at least three variants of it, distinguishable by the logo on the butt of the handle (Galco in cursive, straight and none). Whether the head was modified in any way, I don't know.

Thanks. Would you say one is more aggressive than the other? Maybe some Cobra owners could post some photos of the different handles?

My Cobra Classic is a newer one and will load the Super Pro blade with no issues. I am not up to date on all the different variations. I will check for a logo on mine tonight but I don't recall seeing on on before. Of course I never looked. ;)

My Classic is still in the mail somewhere, so I can only speak of the King. Contrary to what many say, I don't find it aggressive and it hasn't bitten me once. I do treat it with respect, but feel that I can "throw it around" pretty much like I do with the Timeless DE. Not once has it given me a rough shave. (And that I cannot say of many razors, as I every now and then seem to have a dip in my shaving zen, seemingly irrespective of hard- and software use. Man period, moon cycle, leprechauns, what do I know...)

From what I hear, though, the Classic is more aggressive.

I don't find it the beast many make it out to be. I too feel the Timeless 0.95 OC is about the same in terms of aggression.

Thar she blows! In need of a little cleaning, a bit scratched up and dented on the side facing the window here, but I've finally got one.
