Marvelous shave with the Schick Xtreme3 this morning. In Louisiana right now. Making a hard run for the finish line today. Three passes for a dolphin smooth and refreshing finish. Enjoy your day friends. :)

My wife inspected the shave after I finished and planted a HUGE kiss on me!

I told her that it was thanks to that awesome Frozen Cranberry soap she bought me. That scent, that explosive, rich lather, and that freezing cold menthol were simply delightful and so was the Rubby Dubby Doo!

A borrowed soap of my father to try it once.
I'm a great fan of my other American soaps, Stirling and Catie's Bubbles.
    This soap is no exception!
An excellent lather, left it on the face for a minute or so and I didn't even feel that hairs where being cut.

The Personna also behaved excellent in the Maggard Slant.

    A damn fine shave!

    Sandalwood Saturday
Two quick passes to smoothness. The WSP Sandalwood PSO is a good match for Reef Point Sandalwood, with a very woody focus. Great shave overall.

Day 23 of 30 days of straights

I managed DFS this morning, along with reopening yesterday's weeper and adding 2 more, all on the third pass. Maybe I should have stuck to two passes.

It has been about a week since I started using ABC (Antica Barbieria Colla). I am still very impressed with it. It does give a very slick lather. Do I like it more than MDC, my favorite? Maybe.

    DIY Pre-shave Oil
    ABC
30mm High Mountain White set an extra 10mm deep
    3 passes, WTG, XTG, XTG
Penhaglion Bayolea shave cream soothing gel

Another fine shave with this combo. Shark blade holding its own. Enjoying the tobacco yumminess all day.

SOTD: Vintage JWest razor, Eiko "Glory" 13/16" symmetrical grind; "Vikings Blade" Luxury shave cream, Omega#11137 boar brush, Wm Neumann & Co. 'Heartwood' aftershave balm. I'm usually not a 'cream' guy but this was a birthday gift so I gave the "Vikings Blade" a go. Ugh! This labelled "...Exotic, Luxurious and THICK shaving cream.." was anything BUT the product described on the container. No glide nor protection. Just a dissipating foamy film. After several attempts to shave with the stuff, I switched over to Soap Commander to get a slick lather.

I posted a one-star review of the cream on Amazon. I got an overnight response from a company rep stating I had simply "misunderstood" the product and that I failed to read the disclaimer on Amazon (it WAS a gift), that "...this is a SURFACTANT-based vintage shaving cream and it is NOT supposed to create a lather. This cream is meant to create a temporary foam which will then quickly EVAPORATE on your skin and turn into an a SUPER effective, super slick and lubricating layer of residue for ultimate protection."

Wow....."Lubricating layer of residue" doesn't match the product label's claim of "Exotic, Luxurious and THICK shaving cream."

    Have a great Saturday, all!
