Time for a bit milder touch for a day or two so it's back to the New LC, Delta Echo edition. Of my three OC razors this one delivers the mildest shave. And with the Perma-Sharp it delivers one fine shave as well. The Stirling sandalwood scent still amazes me and the lather was great. Three full passes, mostly because I just wanted the extra time with the razor, and I was baby smooth and much more relaxed than the rest of my day. Great way to end the day.

I'll likely stay with the razor tomorrow and switch to a different blade. Not sure which one yet because, hey, I haven't decided. We aren't married. I have to explain nothing.

Proved a point to myself today, I confirmed what I had been thinking for some time. My Shave-time was quicker than when I am using the likes of The General & Supply. The quality of the finished Shave was also extremely good.

Am beginning to wonder if these modern SEs are that much better than the oldies, or in fact is most of the hype down to the blades, and that in the case of the S/S ones they are so durable that they can be passed down through the generation . Hope that I do not get too much flak for my views.

Blade: Gillette Silver Blue

Soap: Aramis, pressed into a Col. Conk mug
Post: Hot/cold rinse, cold towelx2, Dominello Vitali Calming Post Shave Moisturizer
After Shave: Aramis, of course.

New shave week and the NEW is up in the rotation. GSB is the blade of choice and as always, the pairing is fantastic. Two day growth was harvested with no problem. The Aramis Shaving Soap provided a nice slick lather that filled the den with the great scent of Aramis. Three passes and a DFS+ was had. A splash of after shave and Sunday is off to a great start. Have a good 'un.

 

Ain't nothing like a frozen-solid face after a shave with the Glacial Wintergreen soap. This new puck produced tons of perfect lather and froze the daylights out of me while leaving me as smooth as silk. The matching balm and witch hazel added to the frigid fun!
