The Haul: March 2017

Was out of town for three weeks. This was the pile.

Top row, The Soap Exchange four bath bars, a Beach Bum soap I won in the February raffle, and an extra Espresso soap, next to that a Chinese DE razor and blade that will be fun to try. Second row, first four razors showed up the day I left, so I took two with me. Next two were returns from my loaner straight kit, and then a Naniwa 8k stone. Third row started with a huge George Wostenholm & Sons wedge I found in Phoenix, a custom Osiris 6/8 Spanish point with purple buckeye burl scales, and an eBay win of a Kinfolks Blue Steel. Next to that is a gift of a set of Dubl Duck tweezers. Bottom row are six razors I had sent out to be honed.

My wife wasn't phased about this stuff. She's a keeper.

I got back to the office today and found this waiting on my desk. I can't wait for tomorrow's shave

Got a BIG can of vintage-ish Colgate lime shaving cream, thanks to our own @EzraCobb. Fantastic smelling stuff, I will use it sparingly. Would be nice if Barbasol ditched one of their other redundant creams and brought back lime!

 

That is on my list when I go antique/thrift store & flea market shopping.

 

Afternoon mail came in. This one will have to wait until Wednesday for its trial run. It's been a good day

A trial soap from a maker on Reddit. It's Bay Rum scented, smells great. It is on deck for later in the week.

Every time my wife raises her eyebrows at my addiction, I just show her all of the purchases the rest of you guys are constantly making.

Nice little haul. First Canadian Shave Soap Loretto Lime & Rosemary, out of the jar it smells wonderful!! I'll try it out tomorrow morning.

 

My Cella A/S lotion arrived today. So naturally I cracked it open and took a sniff. My nose is not that sophisticated so I can't tell you what it smells like to me. But it smells very nice. Looking forward to using it Sunday with my Cella soap.
