Razor: Portland Razor Co. Chimera/Supply Provision Custom 3 dot head Blade: Chick Brush: That Darn Rob silvertip Soap: B&M Hallows Post Care: Thayers Witch Hazel Alum Aftershave: B&M Hallows Another couple of firsts tonight; first try of the Hallows and Chimera. First, the Hallows, something drew me towards using this soap tonight, maybe it was a sense of dread. I don't care what it was, I love this scent. Very dark, I got a lot of chocolate of the soap and a little dark Vetiver. The aftershave is slightly different, I'm getting a predominately wet forest scent with some more Vetiver thrown in. Awesome! Speaking of awesome, the Chimera was a pleasure to use, awkward, but still a pleasure. Since I can count on one hand my number of straight shaves I stuck with only using it for the sides of my face and neck. It's loud, balanced and easy to maneuver. I only did WTG passes but I did 3 then cleaned up everything with the Supply. Not BBS but close and zero blood or irritation. Excellent shave tonight. Have a great day folks!
YESTERDAY I GOT SHAVE #3 ON THIS PAL Super in my 1909 "New" Ever Ready.... So far not one iota of degradation...meaning, this carbon is still at 100% This test continues.... Remarks....My first shave with a PAL Super carbon single edge blade was better than any shave with my favorite SSs. There were comments that carbons give 'killer' first shaves, but die off very quickly, and SS blades actually get smoother after 2 or three shaves.. So far, 3 shaves in, I see no degradation and thats saying something...since the first shave was so incredible! We shall see.....the test continues...tonight will be shave number 4!
SOOOOO UMMMMMM Good Sir, Could I perhaps steal those instructions and post them across the street in our shave school??
That is a Ever Ready Lather Catcher. I am thinking around 1909ish. I will have to wait for it to arrive to get that information. I recently posted pics of a 1911 Gem set and my all time favorite razor is a 1910 Gem. They are not only beautiful, as you see, but amazing shavers as well. SE Razors are the BOMB DIGGITY of the shaving world.
Well well well her she is. It will be a few days to get a shave from the H but she is all cleaned up and has a fresh blade ready.

SOTD March 22, 2017 Blade: GEM stainless Razor: GEM Featherweight Brush: JR #60 synthetic Lather: Hibco Tobacco Post: Witch hazel splash, Stirling Mountain Man aftershave WTG, touch-up Enjoyable and comfortable shave with the GEM Featherweight and stainless blade. One big pass with touch-ups is all I need for a work-day. But actually I am off today to take care of some appointments. Nevertheless, a nice shave and I'm ready to go. Have a great day!
SOTN March 21st Schick B1 Repeating Razor C Schick (5) Ever-Ready 200T La Toja (Grated and pressed in VDH bowl) Homemade Lime AS Good morning everyone! Had another absolutely stellar shave with the Schick B1 last night. I absolutely love this razor, it has a good level of aggression but is still smooth. Typical awesome, close, long lasting injector type shaves But the weight of the handle really puts it over the top. This razor performs so well for me that is has earned a staring position on The Dream Team . Have a great day my Friends!
Share some art work here. A young friend of mind made that for us across the street. He will be learning to shave soon.
